Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a Data Center Marketing Program Manager to collaborate with cross functional teams on developing and delivering the global event strategy for our clients' Data Center Business Unit. The consultant will develop the overall event strategy for Data Center as well as determine objectives for each event. The Data Center Marketing Program Manager will be the primary strategic marketing driver for each event, working collaboratively with the Corporate Events team who drive/own event execution. The consultant will facilitate event messaging development, provide on-site direction as needed and analyze post-event data. This is a strategic marketing role, not event planning.

The ideal consultant is a self-directed, solutions-oriented professional with proven experience in a large organization in a strategic marketing role focused on the Data Center market. Must have the ability to work with all levels within an organization, drive consensus and provide analytic feedback.

Specific responsibilities include:

* Development of global event strategy for Data Center Business Unit
* Driving event messaging development
* Review of program deliverables to ensure consistency of messaging
* Data Center liaison to corporate event team to provide direction and guidance for execution
* Strategic on-site lead to provide direction as required
* Post event data analysis

Skills:

* 8-10 years of B to B marketing experience in the high tech sector, including at least one large company
* Must have solid/recent marketing/subject matter expertise in the Data Center market
* Exposure to events in the Data Center market
* Proven success with effectively influence across cross functional, global/virtual teams. Must be flexible and collaborative as well as decisive in interactions with GEO counterparts
* Must be adept at interfacing with people at all levels of the company. Requires diplomatic poise and polish for interactions with C- level executives
* Excellent written, verbal and presentation (Microsoft PowerPoint) skills
* Strong project management, negotiation and decision-making skills
* Solid proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
* BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, general Business or similar

Rate: $2,000 - $2,400 per week, as a w2 employee of Crawford Group

Location: Primarily onsite at client offices in San Jose. Local, S.F. Bay Area candidates only. No phone calls please

Job Summary:
As an Internal Communication Specialist for Product Operations, you are responsible for the planning and implementation of internal communications programs and news/information channels targeting worldwide Product Operations employees. You will work closely with the executive management team and corporate communications as well as various other departments to keep abreast of company and organization developments trends; and develop and administer communication policies and procedures consistent with Client's strategic direction.

Essential Functions:
This Internal Communications Specialist will be focused on communications; however, they may provide broader communication messages as well.

• Write, edit, review and oversee release of Product Operations internal communication documents and programs that support the function.
• Utilize knowledge of latest communications technologies and tools to execute communications strategies including intranet, newsletters, emails/memos, web casts and speeches that effectively reach an engineering-centric organization.
• Review and edit essential internal communications prior to dissemination to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency and appropriateness.
• Ensure effective organizational communications strategies and tactics to lead cultural and/or business change and build employee awareness and commitment.
• Coordinate internal communication efforts with cross functional peers who focus on corporate internal communications.
• Work closely with executive/management team and departments to keep abreast of company developments and trends.
• May assist with the development and implementation of new and existing communication vehicles.
• Partner with functional and operation groups with Product Operations to identify communication plans, methods and programs to achieve organizational objectives.
• Develop programs to measure communications effectiveness.
• Manage and participate in long-term projects and strategic initiatives.

Requirements:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong planning and organization skills; attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks; and able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Internet, Outlook. May utilize web content development tools.
• Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization,
• Ability to use judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.

o To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through regular leadership and influencing others.

Education:
• 4 - 6 years of experience preferred.
• A Bachelor of Arts of Sciences Degree required, or equivalent experience with a major in Journalism, English or Communications preferred.
• Experience in a technical field a plus
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, critical projects is required.
