Position title: Account Manager
Location: Anywhere in Silicon Valley area, California
Position description:
In this role the Account Manager will call on a set of accounts located anywhere across the globe, and sell the company's SAAS software offerings. The candidate will have some existing accounts, but the focus will be on new accounts and driving new revenue.
Required/desired skills:
- 5+ years of software sales experience with a proven track record of success and quota
achievement. Experience selling any type of SAAS/subscription-based applications.
- Strong organizational, communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to align company solutions to prospects needs
- Ability to understand prospect needs, competitor's offerings and position company offerings

Responsibilities Include:
• Develop and implement internal and external global partner communications strategy leveraging a variety of communications strategies – including traditional and social media, direct channels, events – to support partner engagement, education and sales effectiveness

Skills Required:
• 8-10 years of partner marketing experience, with a strong understanding of partner business models (VARs, distribution, SIs, ISVs, etc.) and effective marketing strategies
• Experience working with the channel publications (ie. CRN)
• Strong people and collaborative skills necessary to work effectively across multiple global functions and with varied levels of management
• Exceptional written, copy editing and verbal communication skills
• Excellent program management skills and able to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced team
• Strong team player with a positive attitude and strong sense of accountability
• Experience in enterprise technology, networking, hardware or software essential, strong channel experience and knowledge preferred.
• Proven results devising and executing communications programs relevant to alliance and channel partners.
• Experienced social media practitioner with proven results in building awareness and engagement with targeted audiences
• Demonstrated ability to raise mindshare among channel partners through variety of channels and vehicles

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1.Oversee the design, development, and implementation of all equity compensation related plans and programs;

Education Required:
Formal Education & Certification
• Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in related field or equivalent experience.
• Certifications in SQL Server Administration desirable.
Additional Comments:
Incidental Functions• Monitor the database environment to identify and recommend alternatives/enhancements.• Consult with end users and developers to recommend the most appropriate database solution. • Assist application development with database design considerations. • Assist in the designs of data models.• Assist in performance tuning, and monitoring of all system tiers.• Assist with various projects as may be required to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the work.• Participate in hiring activities and fulfilling affirmative action obligations and ensuring compliance with the equal employment opportunity policy.• Minimal travel as required.• Work outside the standard office 7.5 hour workday as required.
