Job Summary

Huawei R&D Competence Center is responsible for corporate level product design competence improvement and R&D product development efficiency driver, including architecture and system design, design for non-functional quality attributes and requirement, system engineering and software engineering, product development productivity methodology and tools infrastructure.

Huawei R&D Competence Center is planning to establish the next generation RnD operation platform and methodology framework, to integrate and leverage all the mature and new RnD methodologies and tools based on social, cloud, mobile and bid data technologies, to satisfy the life-cycle products development demand and productivity improvement strategy for Huawei product & solution groups.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Build, manage and enhance a high-end RnD Competence Strategy Planning team, to lead the direction of Huawei corporate software product RnD competence and productivity improvement.
  2. Provide industry trends and insight analysis of RnD model, methodologies and tools infrastructure, based on Huawei current RnD productivity improvement challenges, situation, status analysis, and corporate high-level demand, to lead the gap analysis, best practice analysis, strategic directions and roadmap.
  3. Focus on essential and critical elements of software R&D competence and productivity, including product development process, methodology, tools infrastructure, information architecture and software engineering.
  4. Incubate and define new idea, method and tools. Drive the strategy planning which covers 2~5 years forward, to lead Huawei corporate level key R&D model, key methodology and tools platform definition and innovation, to deliver the strategy planning report and project Charter,
  5. Lead the research of POC of next generation RnD operation platform and methodology framework.
  6. Guide the pilot project team, to lead the key competence improvement to be the same level of industry benchmark.
  7. Build and guide the external technology communication and partnership, including universities, tools and method vendors, industrial companies and other technologies research partners. Build and lead an external and internal strategic vision committee. 

 

 Qualifications

  1. 20+ years experience in R&D management and productivity improvement, product development and software engineering related process, methodologies and tools.
  2. 10+ years software engineering and software development experience in telecom, IT or internet industry.
  3. Rich experience in traditional and new product development process and methodologies, Deep understanding of methodologies such as Agile, waterfall, XP, scrums. RUP and etc
  4. Deep practical experience on E2E RnD tools chain and infrastructure, open sources, cloud computing, Iaas, PaaS, big data, data mining and data analytics platform.
  5. Very good experience on driving and leading company wise and across BU projects.
  6. Good communication and documenting skills, good team working and problem solving skills, demonstrated ability to be mentor in training people.

Job Description

Huawei’s Enterprise Business Group is seeking an experienced Sr. Information Architect to optimize and coordinate the architecture and design of its documentation deliverables. The Sr. Information Architect will focus on improving our customer’s overall information experience and provide competitive technical communication solutions to help them install, commission, upgrade, configure, optimize, and maintain Huawei’s Enterprise products.  

 

Position Responsibilities

Design and maintain the information architecture including documentation lists, taxonomy, content models, navigation, information forms, delivery modes and online experience for Huawei’s Enterprise Business Group.

Optimize and implement the information architecture for various user roles such as configuration and troubleshooting scenarios.

Enhance and optimize the existing Enterprise information architecture by adding social media channels, customer self-service applications, and customer use cases and scenarios to enhance Huawei’s Enterprise customer experience.

Facilitate a collaborative content design that aligns across different business and operational groups and ensure ease of navigation and simplicity of design.

Continuously analyze customer experience, audience feedback, user demands, models, trends, predict industry-leading technical trends and key innovations and perform effective technical planning to improve the effectiveness and competitiveness of Huawei documentation development.

Review end to end document development lifecycle and provide feedback.

Perform gap and impact analyses.

Evaluate and incorporate statistical indicators and information captured through web analytics and related sources to continuously improve and evolve the end-user experience.

 

Requirements

Skills

Be familiar with equipment installation, commissioning, configuration, maintenance, and upgrade scenarios in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector.

Be familiar with customer demands and preferences for product information.

Have more than 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering product information.

Be proficient in one or more key information development technologies such as dynamic publishing, mobile delivery, social media, DITA, content management, single sourcing, user assistance (UA), and technical writing.

 

Qualifications

Thorough understanding of technical communication, including the methodology, standards, and tools of information development.

Strong project management skills.

Solid understanding of information architecture and user interface design concepts and techniques.

Strong conceptual and strategic thinking skills.

Excellent collaborative and group facilitation skills; must be able to work easily with other cultures.

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

Keen sense of customer experience and target audience analysis.

Familiarity with use case specification, user scenarios and usability testing.

Ability to travel to China at least once a year.

Ability to travel domestically 20% or less.

 

Educational background

Bachelor's degree or higher in related field.

 

Language

Fluency in English is required.

Mandarin is not required but is a definite plus.

 

Work experience

Minimum of 10 years experience in all areas of technical communication including content design & development, information architecture, content delivery, information analysis, usability testing, and conducting SME reviews.  

Previous work experience in preeminent and leading companies in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector is an added bonus.

 

Position Location

Plano, TX or Santa Clara, CA

The Event Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in coordinating all logistics for our clients' events presence, including pre-show preparation, onsite execution/management, and post-show management. The successful candidate is highly accountable, self-directed, organized and detail oriented. Must have the ability to work well on multiple; concurrent projects. This position consists of up to 30% travel time and the right candidate must be open to working over weekends as needed. Specific responsibilities: Assist in planning and coordinating multiple company tradeshows and events from conception to completion simultaneously Coordinate all show logistics (i.e. booth space, staffing, travel, registration, collateral, etc.), prepare appropriate paperwork and payments Traveling to, and working trade shows (show preparation and setup, as well as booth breakdown) Provide prompt and friendly support for customers as well as internal stakeholders (this may be in person, on the phone, email or via live chats) Coordinate and manage email campaigns, mailers, surveys and post-show follow up Assist with social media activity with regard to events, including writing and maintaining content and providing updates to company website, social media sites and blogs Coordinate the creation and production of promotional materials Accountable for all credit handling during shows and management of budget for tradeshows (budget vs. actual cost analysis) Program management and Campaign calendar Coordination with designer, third-party vendors and customer speakers This position consists of up to 30% travel time and flexibility to work over weekends as needed

Description 
Serves as key tester and  is responsible for planning, communications, scripting and execution for assigned testing engagements.  May occasionally oversee the efforts of other testers, and sometimes runs full test engagements by themselves.  The ideal candidate will be well-rounded in the testing and project management disciplines.  This position will require a high level of written and verbal communications with all stakeholders in the application development process, including clients, business analysts, developers, project managers, product managers, support managers and application end users.
Qualifications 
Well-versed in all testing methodologies (White vs. Black Box vs. Experience based Test Design Techniques, Functional vs. Performance vs. Usability).

Demonstrated experience testing various application architectures, such as web applications, client-server applications, and web services.
