Time Commitment: On-going, Full-time



Position Overview:

Channel Impact is seeking a full time Channel Field Marketing Manager to join our client's Cloud Systems and Solutions (CSS) Marketing Team. This person will be responsible for developing, executing and measuring out-bound marketing plans and lead-generation programs for channel partners (VAR, VAD, SI, MSP, other) and MSP. This person will work closely with the CSS Channel Sales Teams, and other CSS groups to drive company initiatives within the Central Region of the United States and will report to the Director of Americas Channel, Alliances and Field Marketing. Ideally this person would reside in Chicago, IL, or Southern CA but we will consider remote office situation for the right individual.



This is a W2 opportunity with Channel Impact.

Responsibilities Include:

-Establishing and maintaining relationships with Sales Representatives and Management.

-Establishing a cadence and methodology to solicit sales input on marketing programs, and communicate results and planned activities

-Developing and execute annual marketing and demand creation/promotional plans

-Managing channel marketing budgets and expenses including forecast accuracy.

-Leading new product launch efforts in channel including: collateral, communication strategies, merchandising procurement, training tools and related activities.

-Leading marketing efforts associated with product business line reviews at account.

-Aligning channel marketing communications strategies with brand strategies.

-Working closely with corporate marketing to ensure a balanced marketing efforts

-Expanding and growing customer-level marketing relationships.

-Tracking market and channel trends and adjusting channel strategies accordingly.

-Analyzing and reporting progress against campaign goals and ROI

-Tracking channel partner sales performance campaign ROI

-Monitoring Channel Partner MDF/Co-op Funds and leveraging CSS programs and channel partner Sweetspot analysis

-Providing to Demand Group content and program requirements to support ongoing priorities, including: product presentations, trade shows, research and competitive intelligence.

-Monitoring and analyzing competitive activities within channel including price, promotion, new products and merchandising.

-Analyzing sales reports and market feedback from internal and external sources in order to identify key issues, trends, opportunities and market share growth/decline for use in marketing and sales planning purposes.

Keeping abreast of industry trends competition to develop customized partner plays

Skills Required:

-Bachelor degree and 8+ years of experience in related roles and/or an equivalent combination of experience, training and specialized skill

-Direct experience in marketing and demand generation program design, planning and implementations

-Extensive knowledge of: marketing and sales processes; and ROI components and measurement.

-Demonstrable ability to develop and implement multi-touch marketing programs.

-Demonstrable ability to effectively and independently: establish goals, deadlines and prioritizations in a multi-tasking, fast-paced and highly challenging environment

-Ability to travel up-to 30%

-Attitude exemplified with 'Sales is Channel Marketing first customer'.

-Track record of effectively working with one or more of the following: VAR's, VAD's, MSP's and other indirect sales channels and partners



Preferred Requirements:

-Exceptional sense of humor and plays as hard as they work

Past experience working in Sales so as to understands the challenges a sale representative encounters each day.

-Expertise in Salesforce.com and Eloqua tools/integration

-Sense of humor with a work-hard play-hard mindset

-Experience in software and hardware Industry, ideally Cloud or Data Storage/Security products

Qualifications:

Minimum:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field, or equivalent work experience

7 years of experience defining strategic objectives, managing the development and delivery of marketing materials, setting metrics and measuring performance

Experience in digital and social marketing approaches including blogging, mobile, etc.

Previous experience working with and leading cross-functional teams including teams such as Products, Legal, Operations, Sales and Marketing Communications throughout project lifecycle

Responsibilities:

1. Collaboration with internal teams to create and drive Marketing and Outreach (M&O) plans, establish key performance indicators and metrics, manage analytics and data deliverables, and execute on the agreed upon plan.

• Assist in the development of comprehensive data-driven M&O plans that will enhance customers' understanding of demand side program offerings. Optimize plans as needed to support roll-out efforts.

• Execute the plan for communicating activities and deliverables to appropriate internal stakeholders, making recommendations for improvement when necessary.

• Assist in creating and editing presentations and materials used for strategic planning.

• Host team meetings with Products, Operations, Legal, Customer Insights and Marketing Communications to review resources, discuss priorities and resolve outstanding issues.

• Project management to support scheduling and coordination of timelines and deliverables.

2. Provide marketing guidance and support, to the Energy Efficiency product managers and their efforts to pilot various behavioral based customer engagement approaches.

• Work with relevant product managers to launch and execute various behavioral based pilots.

• Review product and pilot objectives and provide Marketing point-of-view to ensure best practices are incorporated and when applicable, integrated into existing Marketing efforts.

• Participate throughout tactical execution process by providing input on advertising and marketing materials to Marketing Communications team and/or external agencies, as necessary.

3. Develop Innovative Strategies and Best Practices/Benchmark guidebook.

• Stay current on market trends, technological innovations, and best practices. Use this information to create accurate recommendations and forecasts.

• Lead the development and maintenance of marketing best practices guidebook incorporating benchmark data.

• Provide regular updates on the latest relevant trends, campaigns, best practices and develop process for sharing webinar and learning opportunities to the department.

• Develop strategy for marketing tactics such as blogging, mobile marketing, online sites, and any new cutting-edge methods, approaches or tactics.

4. Support the delivery of ongoing and ad hoc reports as required by internal management.

• Support internal updates to senior leadership on status of program outreach.

5. Monthly Outreach Updates.

6. Monthly Budget Tracking and Forecasting, including budget scenario planning, projecting overages/under-spend and providing cost-control recommendations.

7. Support special projects as assigned by management.

• Manage execution calendar and detailed tactical schedules

• Manage detailed campaign budgets/forecasts working with agency partners business operations

• Manage development/deployment of all campaign readiness/launch information with internal stakeholders (Call Center, COA, Gen Ref, Department Master Calendars)

• Collect, run reports and organize campaign reporting from digital strategies, email lead, targetbase and creative agencies

• Manage multiple projects concurrently and assess risks to project deliverables, as well as providing contingency plans
