Position Responsibilities – Summary

 

My client is seeking a strong Senior Software Developer to primarily develop new product releases and support existing products, to complete complex report development, to convert and load data for new customers, as well as to develop system integration interfaces between their products and their s third-party applications.

The position requires the exceptional talents of an experienced Senior Software Developer capable of working in a dynamic, fast moving team with hands on experienced using .NET, C#, and SQL Server. Additional experience with WPF, WCF, Windows Tablets, SQL Report Writer, and VB.NET would be beneficial.

Occasional travel to client locations located throughout the US is necessary and may require up to 20% of the time out-of-the-office.

 

This role reports directly to the Director of Engineering.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Design, document, code and unit test new software functions for our growing suite of applications

·         Work with and eventually lead teams that designs, develops, tests, documents, implements, and maintains commercial software components, reports, and product that support state and local government property tax related business processes.

·         Execute all phases of software application projects, including development of new functions, resolution of defects, database conversions, issue resolution, or any technical task required to ensure successful application deployment.

·         Contribute to recommendations of design approaches and assist in developing product enhancements (both functional and technical) that satisfy customer contract requirements identified by project managers.

·         Ability to analyze information and recommend plan of action to project team members or stakeholders.

·         Analyze and solve complex business problems.

·         Gather, compile, analyze and document software or system integration requirements.

·         Prepare documents describing installation and operating procedures for deliverables.

·         Troubleshoot applications and quickly resolve production issues.

·         Assist team members and product users with problems.

·         Identify issues and inconsistencies with data quality and creates processes to overcome system deficiencies.

Required Skills and Competencies:

 

·         Bachelor’s degree in MIS, computer science, or a related field, depending on position level.

·         Five+ years of experience with application development, and web-based implementations.

·         New Product Creation Experience: .NET, C#, SQL Server, T-SQL, WPF, & WCF.

·         Strong Math Background - Experienced with quantitative applications that contains non-trivial statistical and financial-oriented algorithms.

·         Experience out of a software firm with full knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications.

·         Object-Oriented and Relational Database Design.

·         Exceptional attention to detail, strong time management skills, and ability to meet short deadlines.

·         Experienced with iterative or lean methodologies and limited specifications.

Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is looking for an experienced Technology Writer to support the Global Communications team for our client in Palo Alto, CA. This consulting role is part-time, approximately 20 hours per week, for a 3-6 month assignment. The focus of the work will be on short-form content in support of both internal and external communications. The target audience for your writing will include B2B enterprise customers and internal field marketing and sales teams. The Technology Writer will work directly with subject matter experts in peer marketing teams to receive raw content that you will edit and refine for delivery through marketing vehicles including emails, newsletters, and social media.

Writing samples are required for consideration. It is important to demonstrate your ability to draft content from scratch and provide value. It is not enough to merely edit other people's work. It is critical that the Technology Writer improve upon the raw content that is provided to increase customer impact and business relevance. Turnaround time for stakeholder review needs to be efficient (e.g. 2-3 day turnaround, as opposed to 2-3 weeks).

The ideal candidate enjoys crafting content for a specific solution while also highlighting the larger context and business drivers. It is important to describe a higher vision through the use of technology in parallel with a solution-specific call to action.

Specific Responsibilities:

Assess the needs of different corporate audiences, sourcing information, and working with subject matter experts across the business to develop clear content for a variety of short form deliverables on deadline. May includes emails, invitations, web/reg site copy, flyers, and possibly short collateral pieces/partner briefs.

Ensure alignment to corporate brand tone

Skills:

5-7 years' B2B internal and external marketing communications experience, writing through an agency, corporation or media entity

Job Description:

The Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategic vendor marketing programs to drive awareness, increase market share, directly impact sales, and grow revenue. This position will focus on federal, state and local, and commercial/enterprise business segments and will collaborate closely with vendors, corporate marketing, regional sales, and vendor alliance managers to ensure the needs of all regions and vendors are taken into consideration when developing programs.

The Channel Marketing Manager will be expected to utilize a mix of different marketing mediums including but not limited to collateral, email, web, events, tradeshows, call campaigns, videos, and webinars to meet program objectives.

Partner with vendors and sales to create co-marketing programs to generate sales pipeline

Build relationships with vendor marketing representatives and work with them to develop co-marketing campaigns, then execute on the delivery of identified campaigns

Track performance of campaigns including measuring the leads and pipeline generated, create and communicate status reports on the overall vendor programs

Manage multiple vendor portals to upload campaigns, request funds, track funds, and provide proof of performance

Manage the development of marketing collateral including case studies, sales materials, videos, and website content

Ensure Microsoft Dynamics CRM records are up-to-date to reflect current marketing campaigns and results

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

Required:

3-5 years experience in a vendor/channel marketing manager position

Solid understanding of the vendor sales process
