We have partnered with a large pharmaceutical Company to provide them with a Accountant I (Spanish) in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Maintaining an accurate and current accounting (sub) ledger which accurately reflects the country's transactional reality through timely posting of all required items. Extensive Spanish (Speak, Read, Write) language skills required.

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 3 years of Fixed Asset work experience in the accounting/shared services department of a multinational company including demonstrated experience in dealing with ex-US accounting.
Spanish (Speak, Read, Write) language skills required.
Demonstrated track record of working with non-US cultures
Must be comfortable in an environment of changing technologies and processes, and demonstrate flexibility in adjusting to new ways of working
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, under pressure, and with a high degree of professionalism
Excellent problem/resolution skills and an understanding of when, how, and where to escalate cases as required to meet defined service levels
High degree of integrity and personal ethics in implementing corporate policies and procedures
Effective team player with collaborative focus
Experience in dealing with internal and external auditors (in a SOX environment)
Responsibilities:
The Accountant will work closely with local Finance in order to ensure that the accounting records
Accurately reflect the country's transactional reality and
The accounting records comply with local statutory and tax requirements.
Maintain an accurate and current accounting (sub) ledger which accurately reflects the country's transactional reality through timely posting of all required items.
Ensure that all transactions are correctly reflected in the ledger on a country basis.
Ensure monthly tie-out to the General Ledger.
Produce accurate and timely period reporting that comply with Corporate and country requirements.
Seeks out opportunities for streamlining and rendering service delivery more efficiently, and participates in special projects to support the RtR Shared Services.
