Department Summary
The Information Technology Department delivers superior customer experiences through the development and support of front and back office systems while focusing on IT's four core values: Partnership, Excellence, Innovation and Efficiency. The IT Data Services Development Department is responsible for the design, development, testing and maintenance of the transactional and multi-dimensional database environments used to support operational, analytical, management and financial reporting. The environments include the enterprise data warehouse (ODW), the PeopleSoft Financials General Ledger and the Cognos Business Intelligence reporting centers and packages. The department is also responsible for the implementation and facilitation of the Data Governance initiative.
Job Summary
Proactively contribute to the success of client and the Data Warehouse Development team through the design, creation and implementation of data packages to enable targeted campaigns for our Marketing department. Empower the internal business customers to effectively use the information and tools for optimal customer targeting, through proactive business support and advisory services.
Essential Functions
• Manage the Epiphany business rules to ensure proper targeting of customers and effective tracking of behavior
• Proactively monitor and manage data quality driving dynamic campaigns
• Manage ad-hoc requests for changes to business rules
• Proactively monitor and reconcile between sources and the data warehouse
• Provide Tier III Support and troubleshooting services for marketing application
• Manage reporting requests around Epiphany campaigns
• Manage data attributes being sent to Epiphany decision engine and monitor data quality
• Develop data requirements
• Work closely with business leaders, data modelers and data warehouse developers to ensure
consistent and accurate reporting across the business
• Support B.I. change management controls and validation process to ensure consistent and
accurate information and reports delivered to the customers
• Support development of a common web-based Reporting portal to provide one-stop secured
and reliable access to information in the corporate data warehouse
• Create and maintain documentation of operating procedures, application designs and user
guides
• Support standard and customized reporting training and support to empower the customers in
using the information and reporting tools
• Provide continuous ad-hoc customer support in information and reporting services
• Other assignments as required
Experience, Qualifications and Technical Skills and Abilities
• At least 3 years experience in CRM Epiphany Interaction Advisor development tools
• In-depth knowledge of CRM Epiphany Interaction Advisor solution, including Real-Time Studio,
Interaction Advisor Manager and Real-Time Administrator.
• In-depth knowledge of RDBMS and strong SQL skills, Oracle preferred
• Active role in at least two Interaction Advisor implementations.
• Ability to develop complex functions in Interaction Advisor using Java script code
• Experience with data warehouse development and ETL methodologies is required
• Exposure to Code Management/Change control management procedures
• Proven working experiences in Cognos B.I. Applications (ReportNet, Powerplay cubes,
Visualizer, Transformer etc.) and/or other B.I./OLAP reporting tools
• In-depth knowledge and experiences in data analysis, data warehouses and/or data marts
• Knowledge and experiences in relational and dimensional databases implemented in Oracle
and/or MS SQL Server
• Proven skills and knowledge in SQL programming
• Customer-focused, able to deliver cost-effective solutions to meet customers' needs
• Self-motivated, able to get work done with minimal supervision
• Creative, able to simplify processes and improve customer experiences
• Result-oriented, able to deliver quality work on time
• Multi-tasking, able to manage and deliver multiple tasks within short timeframe
• Demonstrated skills and experiences in leveraging B.I. / OLAP technology to design and build
cost-effective solutions to meet the business needs in information and reporting
