The Role: Operations Manager
Location: Northern Los Angeles, CA
A 35-year old manufacturer of microelectronics has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager. Our company provides complete production capability, from the initial substrate, to rigorous environmental testing, to the final "box" level assembly. We rely on a Lean approach that continues to reduce waste, allows the company to grow and expand services and capabilities, as well as meet the highest industry standards. With consistent sales growth of more than 20% annually for the last decade, we are poised for continued rapid and profitable growth.
Our Operations Manager will embrace efficiency and position our organization for rapid, sustained and profitable growth. Successful execution will require the ability to drive forward our company's adoption of our Proprietary Production System, which is based on Lean methodology, formulate and execute strategic initiatives that will increase our competitive advantage through operational efficiency.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related area of focus
6-8 years of experience in a hi-tech manufacturing operations environment with at least 3 years in direct management
3+ years of continuous improvement experience, including Six Sigma, Lean or DFLS at a manufacturing facility
Experience in Microelectronics or Hybrid Technologies required
Thirst for learning and a willingness to adapt and grow rapidly with this position.
Experience in the Defense Contracting Arena with certifications that include AS-9000 or AS-9100
Proven history of increased responsibility and promotions
