| In this position, the individual will be responsible for leading and managing a team of 6-8 technical and functional resources focused on implementation and support of Business Intelligence and reporting solutions based on SAP BW and Business Objects. Define and drive Business Intelligence strategy and architecture for the company. Support production systems; work to analyze and resolve production problems in a timely manner. Understand long-term business needs; evaluate market trends and new technologies; understand business drivers and metrics; define and drive vision and direction for BI that will contribute to company success. Manage resources and efforts on the team to deliver according to project schedules; be accountable for the team's delivery. Serve as a mentor to Business System Analysts and provide growth and development, especially in SAP. Apply project management standards and concepts; prepare work estimates and work schedules; update project plans; manage issues and risks. Collaborate with teams across all modules of SAP and 3rd-party software to create integrated solutions that meet requirements of all process areas. Develop solutions within BW and other applications to meet designs, corporate architecture and security requirements. This position requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 10 years' experience in Information Technology, a minimum 4 years hands-on SAP BW experience with at least one full implementation and minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with end user reporting and data analysis tools. Masters degree in Computer Science preferred. Experience as a project manager, or team lead, in at least one SAP project. Experience defining Data Warehouse architecture including BW integration with SAP and non-SAP source systems, ETL tools and methods, data modeling, ad hoc query and analysis tools. Deep understanding of SAP BW architecture, data warehouse strategy and architecture, relational databases, data access tools, sizing, capacity management, and performance tuning. Experience designing and delivering Executive Dashboards using Business Objects Tools a strong plus. Experience in global environments with multi-currency and multi-language solutions. Functional management experience in IT, especially an SAP application area, is a strong plus. Excellent understanding of SAP BW integration with source systems and data access tools. Strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communications and presentation. Strong understanding of Information Lifecycle Management strategies. Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills. Ability to travel 10-15% of the time.
