Job Responsibilities

PC and Digital Home consumer electronics are all experiencing revolutionary transformations through the integration of Touch technology and implementation of gestures. Synaptics PC Division is the leader in capacitive touch technologies with in excess of 70% market penetration in notebook PCs and is extending its technologies into new markets. Responsibility includes organizational lifecycle function including planning, forecasting and marketing of a product or products at all stages of the product lifecycle.

Product management (inbound focused) will operate with product marketing (outbound focused) with the objective of maximizing sales revenues, market share, and profit margins. The role of product management spans many activities from strategic to tactical, with expectations to be very hands-on. Customer interaction is on platform activity.

Oversees strategic planning, development and initiation of outbound marketing content including internal sales and FAE tools and customer collateral to promote the sale of company products and further the PCD business and sales objectives. Consults and partners with other inbound product marketing/management team, sales, and customers in the PC / Consumer Electronics Ecosystem: OEM, ODM, and partners.

Drives product business plans including product strategy, product definition, requirements analysis, and pricing. As an active Core Team participant, monitors the development of overall product, business plans, assesses market penetration, and product positioning to drive competitive advantage, revenue and market share. Reduces broad concepts and business strategies into structured product plans. Integrates product platform technologies into a cohesive end customer portfolio. Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs and participates in direct customer interaction. Establishes pricing strategies and develops marketing tools for successful product introductions.

Required Qualifications

Domain Competency in touch technology, PCs, slates, OS: Windows, Linux, Android, ChromeOS; Processors, Product Development & Ecosystems Partnerships / Alliances.
Creative, motivated individuals with excellent communication, presentation, negotiation skills.
Skilled in PC technologies & solutions including: Windows/Linux, Internet and Consumer Electronics products for digital home, media & entertainment; PC Distribution and channel sales and marketing experience. Multi-Lingual to interface with Asia customers a plus.

Desired Qualifications

Ideal candidate has an education that includes technical and business & marketing. MBA plus 5-10 years work experience in the PC notebook or consumer electronics segment in marketing, product management function.
