Position Description
This individual is responsible for managing timeline, budget and resources required for the production of printed and digital brand and marketing communications. The traffic/production manager will identify process improvement opportunities, oversee operations of the creative services group, interface with Integrated Marketing Communication Managers to verify their needs and communicate project status. This person will work very closely with the Creative Director, creative team members and outside creative agencies to ensure projects are on track.
This person must also have strong knowledge of current print production processes, press check experience and review of files prior to printing. Additional responsibilities include managing McAfee's Project Tracking System, Print-on-Demand, and Identity Package management
Responsibilities:
• Orchestrate and manage projects from planning through delivery
• Communicate project deliverables with the in-house design, writing, Integrated Marketing Communications staff, and with vendors to manage status, deadlines, budgets and any project issues and solutions
• Create and maintain project schedules and drive the routing/trafficking process to ensure proper production timelines
• Ensure that consistent high quality work is achieved through review of vendor proofs, press approvals, and review of delivered materials
• Contribute to the development and implementation of online project management system
• Actively maintain accurate data and file management
• Update and provide weekly status reports for team meetings
• Work with creative services management to manage key vendor relationships and accounts, negotiating rates and terms of work
• Proactively innovate new systems, schedules and efficiencies on an ongoing basis
Qualifications:
• Highly efficient, organized, thorough, and articulate
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to prioritize effectively with multiple clients, tight deadlines and react to changes with flexibility
• Team player with a positive attitude and solid collaboration skills, high attention to detail
• Strong negotiator and a creative problem solver
• Mac and PC proficient, competency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office required
• Extensive knowledge of print and digital production
• A working knowledge of CS5
• Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent work experience
• Agency experience a plus
• 8-10 years of experience in marketing communications and print production
• Relevant experience with online communications deliverables
