Illumio is looking for a copyeditor who has an eye for fine-grain detail, and the ability to be the keeper of our brand story and taxonomy.
What You Will Be Doing
Illumio's Copyeditor will be responsible for ensuring all of our written materials incorporate our key messages and taxonomy as well as copyediting, proofreading, and fact-checking our assets.
You'll be joining a group that prides itself on the excellence of everything they do, and has fun together doing it. You'll get holistic knowledge of the business and be part of a team that moves fast. The right candidate will be highly detail-oriented and organized, intensely thorough, have excellent time management skills, and take responsibility for their work.
What You Need for this Position:
� Experience with copyediting and proofreading under tight deadlines
� Expert-level knowledge of the English language, and the ins and outs of punctuation, phrases, and idioms
� Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
� Excellent time management skills and ability to jump between jobs at a moment's notice
� Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
� Fluency in proofreader's marks
� Experience working with design layouts and identifying when a design doesn't look right
� Experience in technology
� Ability to be agile in your approach to projects
� Ability for fast, iterative work. We are an agile marketing organization
� Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn what you don't already know
Bonus Points:
� Brand editorial development (taxonomy management, key messaging, etc.)
� Copyediting within websites using CMS
� Experience editing online content, particularly social media
