Position Overview:
Bergerson Group is seeking a full time State, Local Government and Education (SLED) channel marketing program manager to join our team in this W2 opportunity. In this role you will be working with a variety of teams across organizations to create the framework for programs, establish strategy, gain buy-in from stakeholders, and coordinate execution for the SLED market place.
Experience in the State and Local Government and Education verticals preferred.
Primary responsibilities are to create and execute marketing programs in the State & Local Government and Education vertical markets. You will be tasked with delivering programs on schedule, creatively addressing complex issues as they arise, managing budgets, measuring program effectiveness, and discovering new ways to help the client improve results over time.
The ideal candidate has a combination of strategic vision and tactical organizational skills as well as a comfort level communicating with participants and stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds. This is a great opportunity for someone with relevant experience to hone their project management skills in a position that has significant visibility and measurable impact across the enterprise.

Additional responsibilities will include:
- Working directly with partners on marketing plans and activities.
- Creating strategies and concepts for new programs designed for the SLED market via the VAR, Disti and DMR routes to market.
- Creating and delivering innovative programs that increase awareness, generate leads, strengthen customer/channel relationships and builds sales opportunities.
- Defining, executing and communicating programs that enhance the client's market penetration and drives revenue in the SLED market via the channel.
- Project management of multiple programs simultaneously.
- Interacting with 3rd party vendors and partners.
- Defining and executing programs positioned against competitors.
- Creates messages to enhance the client's position within the channel
- Budget management


Experience and Education:
- Past experience developing marketing programs for the State & Local Government and Education verticals
- 10+ years of channel marketing experience
- Solid understanding of partner business models
- Experience working with Regional VARs, Distributors and DMRs
- Previous success in co-marketing with industry leading companies

- Knowledge of a variety of channel marketing functions
- Exercise excellent judgment to select methods and evaluate criteria to achieve desired results
- Quickly grasp and communicate client and partner objectives and build them into channel programs
- Ability to negotiate with cross-functional teams
- Expertly manage internal/external vendors and track budgets
- Influencing skills with senior level managers/directors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent project management, negotiation and decision-making skills
- Team player, willing to go the extra mile when needed
- Self-motivated, resourceful, takes initiative
