JOB SUMMARY

The Product Marketing Manager, Seller Solutions, will lead the all product/solution marketing functions related to Ariba's fast-growing Sales Acceleration Management offerings. The key objectives for this position will be to drive positioning, messaging, pricing and packaging for new and existing offerings and to establish Ariba's thought leadership in the sales, marketing and business development disciplines. This role will interface with solutions management and account teams to plan and communicate new offerings, features, and functionality; and with demand generation to plan and execute on offers and thought leadership assets. The Product Marketing Manager will join a growing team and will have opportunity to drive thought leadership in this highly visible role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage a Product Marketing function with business planning and execution responsibilities.
· Perform thorough market research, behavior analysis and competitive research to understand market dynamics and customer needs.
· Create new product/solution marketing plans, including market segmentation, positioning, packaging and pricing.
· Drive in-product marketing efforts.
· Support the development and execution of demand generation programs, supporting efforts with thought leadership assets.
· Work with other functional departments to execute plans, including the Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Supplier Solutions, Customer Service and Finance.
· Create product collateral, including white papers, data sheets, etc.
· Potentially support account-specific activities with client-facing presentations, data, and inquiry follow-up.

Preferred Qualifications
· Must be results oriented with a proven ability to deliver commitments on time while achieving or exceeding business goals
· Strong strategic thinking, value orientation, creative problem solving and analytical skills
· Demonstrated ability to drive cross functional teams to meet business objectives and influence co-workers, fostering strong working relationships
· Excellent verbal, written, visual/presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to convey the business value of technology
· Extremely proactive, detail focused with outstanding program management skills
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Ability to be flexible in a highly dynamic business
· Experience with supplier networks or ecommerce services a plus
· MBA or equivalent degree a plus

Basic Minimum Qualifications
· 5+ years of marketing, product management, account or business planning experience
· Bachelor´s Degree required
