In this position, the individual will be  leading the company's enterprise risk management program. This position is  responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing company-wide risk  assessment and mitigation plans, continuity and recovery plans, and risk  transfer (insurance) programs. Collaborate with senior management to identify  key risks and develop/implement appropriate policies, programs and initiatives  designed to mitigate these risks. Partner with other business and functional  leaders to drive the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Business  Continuity/Disaster Recovery programs. Prepare and present verbal and written  ERM reports to senior executives and the Board of Directors. Build and maintain  the optimal property and casualty insurance program based on the company's risk  profile and risk tolerance. Identify exposures and appropriate coverage through  risk modeling, benchmarking, claims history, and trends. Effectively develop and  manage broker/carrier relationships, serving as the primary liaison between the  company and the insurance industry. Manage the company's renewal process from  the development of the renewal strategy through program design, application  process/requirements, and negotiation of insurance coverage with brokers and  carriers. Manage claims process including notification, investigation, and  settlement negotiation. Review customer and supplier contracts to ensure  indemnification and insurance language is appropriate and consistent with  existing insurance policies, and evaluate exceptions for approval or rejection  as appropriate. Work with legal, brokers and others to establish company  standards for various classes of customer and supplier relationships, including  liability standards, insurance requirements, indemnification, etc. Provide  guidance to management regarding inherent risks and risks related to new  business initiatives and ventures. Provide strategic and tactical leadership  necessary to ensure the risk function operates consistent with industry best  practices and continues to evolve to meet the ever changing needs of the  business. 
This position requires a Bachelors degree in business, finance or risk management, MBA preferred. Progressive work history with a minimum of 10 years experience in corporate risk management or a combination corporate & large account commercial brokerage firm working with hazard risk programs. Current knowledge of principles and best practices in risk management. Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and work directly with senior executives across the company. Be decisive, adept at problem resolution, and exercise mature judgment. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement. Project a professional image that inspires confidence and trust. Strong analytical skills. Focused, organized and results-oriented individual. Ideal individual will have experience in companies with the following characteristics: technology, multinational, capital intensive, $5B in revenue.
