The Site Coverage Editor will be responsible for updating our digital products (mobile apps and web site) with vibrant photos, snappy headlines and engaging choices. Some evening and weekend hours may be necessary.
This is a part time (up to 20 hours per week) contract position located in our San Francisco headquarters.
Responsibilities:
Update Pac-12.com and our mobile apps with relevant photos, headlines and links
Source photos and optimize for the web
Craft headlines and tease copy
Craft and publish video highlights
Exercise news judgment and support Pac-12 Digital´s mission and voice
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field or applicable work experience
1 years' experience in web publishing
Photo editing (Photoshop, etc.)
Video editing (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
Deep knowledge of Pac-12 sports and teams
Self-starter requiring little oversight while maintaining excellent attention to detail
Willingness to work hours as dictated by the digital news cycle and sports including evening and weekends
Experience copy editing and content prep for the web (some html)
A collaborative, passionate, team-first attitude towards building a next generation sports digital media business

Suggestions submitted to Pac-12 Enterprises are considered unsolicited if they are submitted before a formal agreement for joint development has been executed by you and a representative of Pac-12 Enterprises. Therefore, unsolicited suggestions, ideas or other submissions to Pac-12 Enterprises will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary.
