RF Expert for High-speed Optical Transponder
| Responsibilities/Descriptions |
Responsible for providing optical module high speed link total solution, solve the key technology issue at optical RF link in very high frequency and very high density. Solve problems in product design in optical module development. Responsible for design, layout, verification, and characterization of high-speed optical transceiver front-end and components, SerDes/CDR, TOSA/ROSA, Driver, TIA, Laser-Diode and Photo-Diode at data rates of 25Gb/s and higher. Will work as a part of a small dynamic design team, taking an active role in board/OSA/chip design reviews, contributing to specification definition, proposing and evaluating technical solutions, writing design specifications and test requirement documents, etc.
Qualifications/Requirements:
| - M.S.E.E. with 10+ years of experience or Ph.D. with 8+ years of experience - Must have extensive hands-on experience with high-speed optical transceiver front-end at data rates of at least 25Gb/s and/or RF circuits operating at 15GHz or above, taken from concept through production - Solid understanding of SerDes/CDR, TOSA/ROSA, Driver, TIA, Laser-Diode and Photo-Diode devices backed by semiconductor physics fundamentals - Experience with precision analog and mixed-signal circuits is a plus |

Proficient with theoretical and practical aspects of passive electro-magnetic structures including transmission lines, OSA package, FPC. (HFSS
experience is a plus)
- Good understanding of high-speed layout considerations, such as parasitics, crosstalk isolation, supply and bias distribution, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to test, troubleshoot, and characterize own designs
- Demonstrated excellent problem solving skills
- Must be willing to assume responsibility for a wide variety of technical tasks
- Good communication and presentation skills
