The ideal candidate will have experience in event coordination, multi-tasking and ability to work with all types of organizations as well as ability to work some evenings and weekends. This position offers the individual the opportunity to work in an exciting, diverse environment with competitive benefits. <br /><br /> About the OFJCC:<br /><br /> The Oshman Family Jewish Community Center (OFJCC) on the Taube Koret Campus for Jewish Life serves the South Peninsula through educational, social, cultural, fitness, sports and other wellness programs. The OFJCC aspires to be a multi-generational Jewish neighborhood where all are welcome and which fosters new personal and community connections through rich and rewarding experiences. The OFJCC provides a common ground for Jewish institutions, other local groups, organizations and individuals to work, learn and play together for the betterment of the whole community. For more information, visit www.paloaltojcc.org or call 650.223.8600.<br /><br /> Primary Responsibilities:<br /><br /> • Create and actively promote a comfortable and welcoming environment where every member/participant is treated with dignity and respect, in a friendly, personalized manner.<br /><br /> • Manage logistics for a variety of OFJCC events, which may include large agency-wide events, holiday celebrations, development events and some agency programming.<br /><br /> • Identify partnering opportunities between departments.<br /><br /> • Work with city and county officials to obtain licenses and permits and to meet for inspections and other requirements. <br /><br /> • Ensure effective communication of internal programs and room availability with all OFJCC programs and departments by meeting regularly and communicating via appropriate channels. Lead weekly facilities meeting in conjunction with our facility management firm.<br /><br /> • Develop and maintain professional business relationships with vendors.<br /><br /> • Ensure accurate and timely billing and invoicing to cosponsors and internal departments, as well as accurate and timely payment to vendors.<br /><br /> Qualifications:<br /><br /> • 2-3 years related experience and/or proven experience managing and/or coordinating logistics for large-scale events, specifically workshops, conferences and/or festivals<br /><br /> • Excellent communication skills<br /><br /> • Ability to work with all types of organizations and across all denominations within the Jewish community<br /><br /> • Strong sense of organization and attention to managing multiple details<br /><br /> Work Schedule:<br /><br /> Full Time year round<br /><br /> Availability to work some evenings and weekends<br /><br /> <br />(v1.06 - 1410889611)
