Filamento (www.Filamento.Lighting) is an award-winning LED startup based in Silicon Valley California– we are seeking Regional Sales Managers (LED Lighting) for all regions of USA. Candidate must be career-oriented individual with superior sales ability in the lighting industry, as well as superior interpersonal and management skills.
OVERVIEW
• Responsible for new revenue targets and developing new relationships and educating our partners.
• Develop complete coverage of Sales Agent and Distribution in their territory.
• Gain understanding of regional utilities Energy Incentive Programs.
• Identify the ESCO's (Energy Services Companies) or Energy Conservation Companies in the territory as well as large direct opportunities where accounts maintain their own lighting (i.e. colleges/universities, municipalities, corporate accounts etc.), distributors, Lighting Reps, Lighting Design Firms, Lighting Integrators, Private Sector Contractors, Commercial & Industrial building owners, Government Contractors, etc.
• Leverage existing and develop new relationships into secured new business.
• Ongoing training on products and understanding the marketplace.
• Input prospect information and sales data to salesforce to be reviewed weekly.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Manage a productive geographic territory.
• Create a proactive marketing plan, which includes opportunity analysis, activity goals and key progress goals.
• Work independently in one or more of these geographical territories, while collaborating with support teams in our Sunnyvale, CA office
• Gain full understanding of customer business goals, operations and project requirements.
• Cultivate effective business relationships and communicate the full scope of Filamento solutions to meet customer goals and achieve sales objectives, volume and market share.
• Target and contact key decision-makers and develop positive relationships to secure sales solutions.
• Manger is expected to be on the road at least 70% of the time visiting existing partners, doing promotions, cultivating new potential customers.
• Visit customer sites to conduct detailed lighting and energy-saving audits.
• Gather key project information including utility, technical and financial data.
• Identify lighting and energy measures to improve energy efficiency through new technologies or upgrades.
• Serve as primary point of customer contact, seeking internal technical guidance and project support as needed.
• Develop customer proposals with Filamento team for creative new solutions to reduce energy consumption and increase energy efficiency.
• Sell energy efficient Lighting solutions to prime customers and perform other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
• 5-6+ years of direct B2B marketing experience in the territory(ies).
• Existing relationships with utilities and customers in the designated territory is a significant plus.
• Demonstrated business sales development, cultivation and relationship management skills.
• Ability to identify customer needs, effectively communicate solutions and position the company as a solution provider.
• Extensive financial planning and solutions experience with ability to develop a business case.
• Highly effective and successful sales lead generation, negotiation and closing techniques.
• Excellent verbal, written, computer, interpersonal and technical communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and business relationships.
