Serves as a consultative business partner, leading and contributing to the development of internal communications to help solve specific business problems and to foster employee understanding and engagement with the company purpose, goals and strategies.  Be recognized as an authority and thought leader in executive and employee communications, and contribute to the development and adoption of innovative principles and ideas across the company. Responsible for maintaining brand identity and developing internal communications in collaboration with company stakeholders. Serves as a primary Corporate Communications interface with customers on strategic communications projects, and advocates and educates on the development and use of communications tools, processes and programs.  
 
Responsibilities:
 
Internal communications strategy and planning. Provides independent and proactive counsel and leadership to executives, division leaders, key program teams and managers on message development and communication planning for external and internal audiences. Analyzes needs, designs effective and efficient communications solutions and advises on how communications can help meet business objectives. Coordinates with Creative Services team on messages, timing and channels. Coordinates, collaborates and consults with multiple departments including public relations, community involvement, investor relations, human resources and marketing to develop employee-facing communications that support company and business segment objectives.     
 
Account manager. Develops relationship with primary customers, including understanding the business, proactive definition of needs, communication planning, and ongoing project management. Role models active communications including teamwork, collaboration, listening, negotiating and influencing. As primary interface with business partners, works with Creative Services to ensure communications deliverables meet expectations. Facilitates company-wide brand stewardship, advocates for and participates in efforts to ensure employee understanding of and engagement with brand and advises business partners on solutions to operational issues that impede the company's ability to deliver on its brand promise.     
 
 Projects. Lead and participate in special and ongoing projects within Corporate Communications, and within the company as a representative of Corporate Communications. Demonstrates specialized expertise in one or more of the following areas: project management, electronic media, writing and editing, design, brand management and advertising. Develops and manages communication planning and management tools, and facilitates adoption of tools by clients and others outside Corporate Communications.
 
Quality Assurance: Responsible for message consistency and clarity to meet objectives of each project. Ensures brand is reflected in deliverables. Coordinates among all stakeholders to ensure optimum timing and message coordination.
 
Qualifications:
Communications expertise, writing and verbal skills. Hands-on experience in one or more communications disciplines, such as writing, design, electronic media and brand management. Project management and communication planning.     
 
Degree in related field. 5-7 years of experience in an agency or corporate communications environment.
 
Advanced knowledge of: Communications tactics and practices, communication planning and project management

The Advancement Services Manager is responsible for database management, advancement reporting, prospect management, gift recording, data integrity and data security.  The Advancement Services Manager develops and implements data and gift-entry procedures, produces reports and mailing lists for departmental and university-wide use, and provides database training.

                                                                                                          

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Support fund-raising initiatives. Oversee overall management of The Raiser’s Edge Software (including Net Community & The Researcher’s Edge) including data entry, data output, data integrity and training.
  • Develop procedures to ensure the integrity and security of database information. Process new or updated information into the database as needed.
  • Manage and supervise data and gift-entry processes. Continuously improve the quality of alumni and donor data. Document and regularly update procedures manual and instructions.
  • Advise on proper procedures ensuring accurate recording of gifts. Develop, review, interpret and advise staff of office policies and procedures.  Ensure compliance with fundraising policies, goals and procedures. Identify, develop, implement and maintain database policies and procedures as related to all fundraising activities. 
  • Develop, implement, and manage the internal systems of prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, with strong emphasis on major gifts prospect management.
  • Produce reports and analyze data to support fundraising on a weekly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Ensure all gift officers have efficient, effective tracking systems to support their cultivation and solicitations.
  • Produce targeted mailing lists for communications, solicitations, invitations, etc., for University Advancement staff and for other constituents university-wide.
  • Interface with finance department staff regarding gift entry, gift posting, fund creation, gift restrictions and audit reporting.
  • Provide full services support for comprehensive campaign including tracking next steps, pledge commitments, solicitation strategy management and reporting.

 

  • .Qualifications, Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in development services functions and office management experience.
  • Excellent computer skills, including advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Access); familiarity and facility with standard query and reporting software applications, preferably Crystal Reports; Advanced skill with fundraising databases, preferably Raiser’s Edge, including experience with set-up and maintenance of application functionality. 
  • Ability to work with a variety of peers and supervisors. Ability to work effectively as a team leader, as well as independently; ability to train, inspire, and motivate subordinate.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and/or projects simultaneously while addressing the needs of the office, ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Highly organized with good interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to anticipate needs, see opportunities and use good judgment in dealing with confidential information. Ability to analyze and review operational procedures, identify problem areas and optimize performance through procedural changes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Proficiency in communicating effectively, including an ability to write and speak clearly.
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles and practice. Support and understand the development process: identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.

(Huawei R&D USA) is a leader in Network research and development.  We are looking for a highly qualified senior architect talent to join our growing team at the Software Lab and help building our Big Data and Analytics architecture and implementing PoC for connected internet and telecom solution. This is a hands-on role and the person will work on variety of new software technologies including Big Data, Hadoop, In-memory processing such as Shark/Spark, analytics (machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis) applied to different layers in the software stack (from network level to user experience and other layers in-between) and data visualization. You must have proven track record in technology companies and specifically in the Big Data and Analytics areas. In addition, the ideal candidate must have strong communication skills, and ability to be an independent thinker.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

Track record in the Big Data and Analytics development areas. Familiarity with Hadoop, SQL, NoSQL, Spark, Machine learning algorithms, Statistical Analysis including the R-programming language. Familiarity or experience with Analytics application in the Telco vertical is a major plus.

Leadership role in developing POC including selection from alternative technologies that best suite customer requirements.

Effective team player working closely with both architects and product managers in the software lab as well as in other divisions in the Big Data and Analytics areas.

 

Must Have:

10+ years of software design and development experience, with a solid Hadoop, Spark, machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis and troubleshooting complex systems.

Track record in the Big Data / Analytics areas.

Familiar with Big data/analytics development, troubleshooting and deployment in the cloud.

Hands-on programming skill with Java, Scala.

Development experience working with highly scalable & available platforms..

Familiar with development environment and tools on Linux.

Design with performance in mind.

Strong problem solving skills.

Good communication skills and a team player.

Experience with working in projects with overseas teams.

Experience with Agile development process.

MS in CS/CE and PhD is preferred.

 

Certain amount of international travel is required.

Experience developing analytics as a service

Experience with visualization

Experience with Cloud-based platforms

Good understanding and expertise with virtualization.
