DEAL DESK MANAGER – Sales Operations
Netchannels is hiring a long-term on going Deal-Desk Manager for its client: MicroFocus.
MicroFocus Sales Strategy and Operations organization requires a skilled Deal Desk Manager to help drive our software deal sales support program to help achieve current year revenue-goals. This Deal Desk Manager will successfully review, structure, draft and negotiate a complex set of license and SaaS transactions to successful completion resulting in improve license revenue. This will include working with sales teams within MicroFocus, legal, global revenue recognition and finance.
IMPORTANT:
The team really needs someone that is focused at the deal level – a Deal Manager that is used to working with the sales rep and team one on one (so understands the pressures, urgency, different and sometimes difficult personalities, etc.) and can coach them, explain process and policy, strategize to put together a deal the meets both parties needs, help get it approved internally, and then negotiate with the customer on terms and some contract drafting… so a lot more focused on helping take a specific deal from proposal to revenue than the reporting and analytics behind all of the business. Ideally an experienced person in this capacity that can be assigned to a sales team right away and can work intelligently within the role filling in company specifics with manager assistance.
Responsibilities:
• Advisor to regional sales organization
• Structured software licensing transaction to maximize revenue and minimize risk to the company.
• Worked with corporate operations to develop best practices for fulfilling non-standard deals
• Collaborate with teammates to identify process improvement and/or sales training opportunities.
• Drafted licensing Schedule terms and participate with legal in contact licensing negotiations.
• Assisted with transaction closing by ensuring all contact paperwork is complete, approvals are in place, and orders are closed out properly in Salesforce.com.
Services to be rendered:
• Focus on AMS license and SaaS revenue business
• Escalation Coordination and Dashboard reporting of deal status
• Work with key stakeholders and champion solutions to help bridge gaps.
• Work with the ELA and sales organizations to help build pipeline.
• Other deal related project work as necessary.
