Watermark is the premier organization for women's leadership development in the Bay Area. We've been around for 25 years helping women make their mark on their companies, careers and communities. Our mission is to increase the number of women in leadership roles, and were looking for a whip-smart individual to help us do that even better.
Description and Details
Our Watermark VP of Marketing and Events secures, develops, promotes and delivers world-class programming for the Watermark community, along with overseeing communications, media relations, partner and member announcements and Watermarks brand standards and marketing strategy, overall.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Conferences, Speaker Series, Webinars, Special Events
Provide thought and insight to ensure well-balanced event offerings throughout the Bay Area, select and secure speakers and event space, plan all details and logistics associated with the events, attend and oversee the events, handle all follow-ups, ensure an excellent experience on the part of speakers, sponsors and attendees and study and apply survey and real-time feedback to future events
Communications and Promotions
Publicize all events, Watermark news and Watermark member, partner and sponsor news via our website, blog, email, social media, local event calendars and at the events, themselves. Ensure communications meet Watermarks brand standards. Recognize and pursue strategic, mutually beneficial event/marketing/donation opportunities with vendors and other contributors
Requirements for the Role
Undergraduate degree - graduate degree a plus
Web, social email marketing; product content and logistics for events; PR experience preferred
Multi-tasking with great attention to details
Manage budgets and contractors/consultants/volunteers
Excellent writing skills
Must be physically located in the San Francisco Bay Area; most work is virtual
