Position Available: Marketing Coordinator (Proposal Writer)
Location: San Jose, CA
Reports To: Director of Marketing
Primary Functions: This position plays a highly valued role in the company's marketing and
business development activities. The Proposal Writer works directly with the Director of Marketing, Director of Client Services, and the Director of Educa-tion Services to put together Business Development proposals to win new work for the company. This person acts as a part of the Business Develop-ment and Marketing team, with a great deal of additional exposure to Blach's Operations team.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Prepare and guide Blach's new business proposals, specifically by writing and coordinating all content
•Assist in developing strategy and coordinating proposal team
•Develop new support materials, print and digital presentations for a wide variety of audiences and requirements
•Create new marketing collateral for business development efforts
•Play key role in keeping Blach at the cutting edge of proposal quality to further assist the Business Development team in winning new projects for the company
Skills/Qualifications:
The most important qualification for the successful candidate is superb writing skills (writing sample required). Ideal candidate is engaging, high-energy, col-laborative and will easily integrate into Blach Construction by learning our business from the inside out. Must be creative, flexible, a team player, a self-starter, and very adaptable. Must have the ability to prioritize and manage a diverse workload in a fun, but deadline-driven and fast-paced environment. Ideal candidate will flourish in a dynamic environment and will be able to switch directions whenever needed. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) required.
Five or more years of experience required. Must have excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's de-gree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English or related field of study. Relevant experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction fields preferred, but not required.
Position Status: Full-time, regular business hours, non-exempt
