We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to help us with all aspects of marketing. This remote, Independent Contractor role will initially be part-time (20 to 30 hrs/week) and reports to our Head of Marketing.
The right candidate will be comfortable in all aspects of marketing and digital marketing including email campaign strategy, landing page conversion, webinars, social media, content & video marketing, etc.
In this role there will be daily projects to accomplish. We will meet multiple times each week and sometimes daily via online meetings to accomplish our projects, and we will be using project management tools to track and report progress. While we do not dictate your work schedule, our team works normal business hours Monday thru Friday, so the right candidate will need to be generally available during normal business hours to successfully work with our team.
Responsibilities:
• Implement and track marketing campaigns, evaluate results, and prepare regular marketing activity reports.
• Work individually and collaboratively to recommend actions, schedule & plan projects, and manage projects to completion.
• Setup, test and send email marketing broadcasts.
• Setup, test and publish website landing pages, content and blog posts.
• Setup, promote and moderate webinars
• Moderate, post and comment on social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter.
• Monitor inbound emails including replying to messages, processing unsubscribes and bounces.
• Maintain marketing reporting.
• Coordinate and execute other ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications:
• Tech savvy, must be very comfortable with the convergence of marketing and technology.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Able to embrace new challenges and learn new skills quickly.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects.
• 3-5+ years of progressive, related marketing experience.
• 1-2+ years of B2B (or B2C) marketing & digital marketing experience.
• Advanced understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite including strong XLS skills.
• Experience with marketing automation / CRM platforms.
• Experience with email automation platforms.
• Experience with social media and web publishing / CMS platforms.
• Experience with project management platforms.
• Solid understanding of HTML and are comfortable working with it regularly.
• Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Solid interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Own computer and access to high speed internet.
