Develops strategic messaging to heighten awareness/value of key products and services. Supports external marketing/branding activities, including product launch deliverables, media briefings, advertising, trade shows, and internet communications. Prepares materials for internal and external presentations on products, and management communications. Helps coordinate, develop content for, and execute effective events, including training and conference technical programs.

Requirements

Background in semiconductor technology: processes, device architecture, and materials

Ability to take complex technology concepts and craft high-level messaging appropriate for non-technical external audiences

Ability to translate technology process concepts into understandable visual assets

Ability to clearly communicate complex process concepts to non-technical external vendors in the creation of visual assets: storyboarding, illustrating physical and chemical material behaviors, describing device topography, explaining process system operation, developing animation and video scripts

Key Responsibilities

Applies familiarity with semiconductor technology and applications to plan, author original content, and implement messaging and process- or product-related marketing content using company communication vehicles.

Collaborates with business partners, corporate personnel, members of own team, and vendors in creating campaigns, new product launches, web site content, and articles for industry on-line and print media.

Takes ownership of assigned projects, solving problems and completing deliverables with minimal guidance. Recommends improvements to functional procedures.

Prior Experience

4 - 6 Years of experience as a contributor of original content in addition to project leadership.

Prior technical product management or product marketing experience a plus.

Experience in the semiconductor industry highly preferred.

Functional Knowledge

Demonstrates familiarity with technical trends in semiconductors, technical understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment, and knowledge of the role of semiconductors in end products. Can apply this to interactions with BUs and others pursuant to fulfilling responsibilities with minimal guidance. Is fully conversant with commonly used office software, graphics software a bonus.

Business Expertise

Demonstrates excellent presentation and story-telling skills to engage customers, press, analysts, including ability to author original content (samples required). Is familiar with sensitivities related to investor and customer perceptions as they affect marketing messages and campaigns. Demonstrates ability to think creatively and innovatively.

Leadership

Demonstrates capability to function with minimal guidance, independently solve problems and take ownership of assigned projects. Directs vendors in production of deliverables. Communicates regularly with supervisor on progress. Proactively seeks ways of contributing to enhancing own group's functionality.

Problem Solving

Exercises judgment and pursues independent resolution of problems encountered when exercising responsibilities; communicates regularly with supervisor on progress. Offers new perspective on existing solutions.

Impact

Interacts with a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and related teams. Operates within corporate guidelines and policies governing own team's functions.

Interpersonal Skills

Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills. Understands the role of a service group within the organization and applies this perspective to own interactions with served groups while adhering to corporate guidelines and policies. Ability to influence and work to achieve consensus among diverse individuals or groups. Can modify communication style when explaining difficult or sensitive information.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences.
