Finocchio Consulting is seeking a Communications Manager to work with the Client's Inclusion and Diversity team to develop and deliver strategic and tactical communications.
Full-time. Remote. US only,
Key Responsibilities
- Lead communications planning and coordination, driving a holistic internal/external communications plan in partnership with business and communications stakeholders.
- Develop and execute a communications strategy and plan representing all audiences: Executives, Leadership (Directors/Managers) and Individual Contributors considering global, function and region communication needs.
- Develop foundational communications deliverables, assets, and processes to scale the value of inclusion, diversity and collaboration across the enterprise.
- Advise and manages primary channels, and develop processes for effective efficient, and measurable (future-state) communications delivery.
- Manage communications to support key initiatives deemed Tier 1 with impact to the broad organization, working in partnership with business and communications stakeholders.
- Provide internal/external communications consultation within a given function.
- Serve as main point of contact for communications requests, and counsel on the right outcome for the business vs. facilitation of request.
- Support & coordinate key company Internal and external communications efforts for given functions.
- Review, edit, approve and distribute internal communications for clients organizational initiatives.
- Responsible for editorial content within, and about a Client Function—ex. a story that appears on the client site.
- Understand the dynamics of social media outlets, and create social media activities when appropriate to build an engaged community of followers across the company.
- Support strong content development, amplification and metrics.

Understand What Drives Your Audience: Seek and interpret quantitative and qualitative inputs to understand stakeholder perceptions, motivations, and preferences so that communications will be impactful.
Core Writing / Message Simplification: Strong writing skills and able to tailor writing style and content based on the target audience and desired reaction in alignment with exec comms & brand guidelines.
Understand the Desired Business Outcomes: Create impactful communications that demonstrate an understanding of the business issues and the desired business outcomes.
Program Management: Manage project(s) with moderate to high risk. Solution requires collaboration across cross-functional teams. There are multiple inter-dependencies. Requires management of project integration, scope, time, cost, quality, and change communications.
Interpersonal Influence: Lead clients or business partners, to produce and deliver effective communications solutions. Build relationships within and outside of ones organization to help achieve desired outcomes (PR/AR/IR, Integrated Marketing Communications, Corporate Speakers Bureau, executives' extended staff, SMEs).
Communication Sourcing and Creation: Identify – and help others identify –opportunities to create a story around a given message. Create and source content, in PowerPoint or other formats that is engaging and compelling. Enable dialogue and facilitate peer-to-peer interactions in communication strategy where appropriate.
Social Media Management: Solid knowledge of social media platforms, digital communications and strategies. Select the most beneficial channel mix depending on audience and desired business outcome.
Presentation Development and Design: Create meaningful and impactful presentations by target audience. From storyboarding to execution of final deliverables.
Skill/Qualifications
- 6+ years-experience with internal/external communications in varied disciplines, such as organizational communication, executive communication, and public relations
- 2+ year experience in Diversity copywriting
- Results-driven, comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities, and acutely responsive to the needs of the business
- Graphic design experience preferred
- Ability to navigate and influence in a highly matrix organizational structure
- Customer service orientation, understanding that different stakeholders have various needs
- Experience working on high profile initiatives that require confidentiality and discretion
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent required - MBA or Masters in Communications preferred
