Netchannels is looking for a long-term W2 contractor for our client Cisco Systems. This is a combined Programs and Data Center tech AR role – so mid-level. That person can be anywhere in the USA. Looking for someone super enthusiastic who wants to move the needle and own a technology at Cisco where he/she can shine. Hungry and humble would be a plus! This is a full time position, ongoing long term.
POSITION: Analyst Relations Programs Manager
This role has two areas of responsibility: Programs Management (operations) and Analyst Relations functions
Program Management/AR tasks/responsibilities:
• Schedule briefings, inquiries, and calls with key analyst firms for the DataCenter team.
• This includes Gartner, Forrester, and IDC among others.
• Create records and notes of these interactions and post on the ARchitect database (that's the Analyst Relations Database)
• Update hot topics weekly with teams most relevant impact to executive management.
• Organize webinars for Data Center for the tier 2 and tier 3 audiences. Create invitations, invite analysts, work with the event center for adding a survey, track attendance, and thank participants after attending.
• Publish Research Highlights on research to key stakeholders in marketing and other organizations.
• Track Cisco coverage – positive, negative, neutral for the team's easy reference.
• Understand and run the team's dashboard for their FY19 plan. This includes Inner Circle quarterly inquiries, monthly inquires with key Gartner analysts, track all seat holders, track collateral and research, the teams' budget, reprints, stakeholder and their engagement plans, and strategy sessions. Take a lead role in running weekly team staff meeting.
• Provide general program management support of all Data Center's team's needs.
• Planning and overseeing AR involvement in national conferences and International events:
o Scheduling 1:1 meetings
o Submitting expense forms for analyst travel and hotel reservations
o Create briefing documents
o Manage executive schedules
o Monitor social media activity
• Organize the daily activities of Data Center and Sales Enablement teams including analyst briefings, inquiries, and special engagements involving senior leadership
• Manage logistics of analyst firm research projects including Forrester Wave, MachNation Scorecards, and various reports by analyst firms
• Documenting and auditing analyst feedback about Cisco
• Work with analyst firm account representatives to collect data surrounding Cisco interactions with analysts and analyst influence
• Create briefing documents including analyst bios and relevant interactions
• Work with ARchitect representatives to update analyst we interact with
• Maintain team ARchitect lists and update interactions
• Monitor analyst social media activity
• Assist with product launches
o Scheduling analyst pre-briefings
o Monitoring analyst articles and social media
Required Qualifications:
• Global IT-related industry analyst relations experience
• Strong strategic planning skills
• Resourceful, strategic and a creative thinker
• Demonstrate ability to initiate and maintain strong analyst relationships
• Experience managing the planning and execution of analyst events
• Excellent interpersonal and executive presence skills
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to synthesize, interpret, and summarize third-party research and deliver the "so what" for cross-functional audiences
• Self-organized team player with a demonstrated ability to achieve objectives
• Able to operate in matrix organizations and manage multiple projects concurrently; comfortable working with remote colleagues and stakeholders; experience working across disciplines and geographies
• Comfortable with technology concepts and a general knowledge of the IT industry
• Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field required
