Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is looking for a full time/direct hire Product Marketing Manager for our client based in Seattle, WA. As Product Marketing Manager, you are responsible for crafting messaging, creating compelling content, identifying targeted customer delivery methods, and delivering that content via those channels.
This role is focused on providing our clients Demand Generation team, Direct Sales force and Inside Sales force with high-quality content that will engage prospects throughout their buyers journey and enhance their explosive sales growth. You will be responsible for researching, writing, editing and curating product marketing materials in various graphical, textual and video formats. Must be able to creatively editorialize how our clients features generate business value for customers in the most compelling way to help drive sales and marketing processes.
Our clients company culture is engineering oriented, results-driven, collaborative, diverse, direct, fun loving and diplomatic. This full time/salaried role is based in the Seattle, WA headquarters. Occasional travel (10-15%) to events or customer sites may be required. Writing samples required for consideration.
Responsibilities:
Work with Director of Product Marketing to develop and execute content strategy/roadmap
Drive go-to-market plans for targeting products with an emphasis on industry market trends and customer segment user cases
Establish effective working relationships with Product Managers, Engineering and Sales team members to develop relevant and impactful content, while sourcing insights from internal and external sources to be used as a platform for new content
Deliver compelling, creative marketing materials that respond to customer needs with tangible proof points, differentiation and business value, enabling Sales to confidently articulate and prove the products value propositions
Create, edit and rewrite content from internal and external stakeholders into engaging concepts and copy, ensuring all content is compelling, cohesive and on-message
Create and/or adapt content (e.g.: white papers, use cases, case studies, videos, webpages, webinars, event content and more) for targeted use cases, personas and buyers journey stages
Develop content for sales enablement materials to more quickly move prospects through the sales cycle
Maintain a consistent voice and tone across all content, upholding company brand and marketing guidelines
Identify and promote awareness opportunities including industry events, analyst and press briefings.
Track success of messaging, how content is resonating with target audience, and modify as needed
Skills:
5+ years of professional marketing experience in the technology sector
3+ years experience in Product Marketing/Content Marketing with responsibility for content creation/management mapping to customer journeys
Knowledge of cloud, SaaS or driving public cloud adoption a strong plus
Strong creative copywriting style, targeting both technical and business audiences
Experience with identifying and developing personas, outlining buyers journey, and developing content plan/roadmap to accelerate the journey and increase quality pipeline
Ability to understand complex, abstract technical subjects and express them in a straightforward, accessible way to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to access the engineering mindset and to accurately reflect their visions in compelling content with conviction
Ability to research topics, synthesize information and find the hook. Must have the ability to interview and build relationships with subject matter experts on a variety of topics, potentially those unfamiliar to you
Experience generating content for a wide range of materials such as whitepapers, case studies, checklists, presentations, infographics, web and video that include analytically derived, actionable insights, appealing to targeted buyer personas
Strong cross functional skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience working closely with a Sales organization with a strong affinity for enabling Sales team success
Proven track record of excellence in both team and individual contributor roles
Creative thinker and excellent communicator who is constantly curious
Demonstrated ability to set timelines and handle multiple tasks for several simultaneous projects
Independently driven and a self-starter. Must resonate to working for a remote manager.
Examples of your work and writing styles
Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Bachelors degree and MBA highly preferred
Salary:
Full time/direct/salaried employee of client. Competitive total compensation package D.O.E., w2, including bonus and comprehensive benefits.
Location:
Fully onsite at clients office in Seattle, WA. Occasional travel (10-15%) to events or customer sites may be required. No phone calls, please.
Hours/Duration:
Standard business hours, ASAP full time, ongoing as a salaried/direct hire/employee of client.
