Position Summary:
My client is looking for a talented embedded software engineer to work on a breakthrough active suspension system for cars. You will be part of a small software engineering team developing the embedded firmware that controls power electronics and vehicle dynamics and feel.
You're a bit-hacker who will develop device drivers, algorithms and controls, multi-threaded designs, diagnostics, communications, and distributed networking in an embedded, bare metal environment.
Required Skills and Competencies:
· At least BS or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering
· Experience developing embedded and real-time systems in C
· Experience developing device drivers
· Experience with multi-threaded and object oriented design, multi-core processors, C, C++, and Python experience desired
· Automotive industry experience; especially AUTOSAR
· Experience with bare metal development as well as real-time operating systems (RTOS)
· Experience with distributed networking design a plus
· 32-bit microcontroller experience (preferably Power PC architecture and Freescale toolchain) a plus
· Team player, passionate, confident, organized, driven
