Please direct your responses to: CNeumann@wittkieffer.com

Witt/Kieffer has been retained by Easterseals Bay Area (ESBA) to assist in the recruitment of a Senior Vice President, Strategic Communications and Philanthropy (SVP, SCP). An affiliate of Easterseals Inc., ESBA provides individual behavioral services to approximately 3,500 clients with development disabilities and special needs, and has specific expertise in serving clients diagnosed with autism. This is a newly created executive position and will play a critical role driving ESBA's strategy in regard to external and internally focused communications as the organization continues to grow. The SVP, SCP will be looked at to design and implement a consistent strategy across the organization's Communications, Development and Public Policy functions.

The SVP, SCP will be joining ESBA at one of the most exciting times in its history as it capitalizes on recent successes. As a result of legislation in 2012, mandating that private insurance companies provide services to individuals with an ASD diagnosis, ESBA has developed a Behavioral Health Provider Network (BHPN) offering behavioral health services and Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) for Kaiser Permanente members living in Northern and Central California. This partnership has driven significant growth within ESBA, increasing revenue from $13 million in FY12 to $126 million in FY16, with a budget of $203 million in FY17. ESBA is now leveraging its experience to support affiliates across other markets to drive national network expansion through its autism services delivery model.

This individual will be asked to create and implement a holistic communications and marketing strategy to raise awareness for and enhance the already strong reputation of ESBA. In addition the SVP, SCP will be expected to identify relevant opportunities for ESBA to share perspectives and deliver ESBA's mission and value propositions to key audiences, including potential donors. The SVP, SCP must build out a long-term plan which may include internal engagement campaigns, external partner relationships, new or enhanced communications tools, cross-collaboration opportunities, philanthropic opportunities, and thought leadership designed to meet those goals. Although this position will have responsibility for communications, development and public policy, the organization seeks individuals with significant experience in marketing and communications. ESBA will consider candidates from a wide variety of industries; however healthcare experience is a plus. This position is based out of ESBA's headquarters in Pleasant Hill, CA.
