Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking two full time Email Marketing Project Specialists for our technology client. One role will be based in San Jose, CA, the other in San Francisco, CA. The Email Marketing Project Specialists will support the strategic planning and development and drive production and execution of email programs (batched and triggered.) Major areas of responsibility include planning and executing acquisition, engagement/active use, conversion, and retention email programs. The Specialists will be responsible for driving email projects to completion, while providing excellent internal customer service. Candidates will have the ability to assist in and ensure the completion of the strategic planning phase, but will primarily focus on the successful execution of email communications.
The ideal consultant possesses meticulous marketing project management skills, an internal service-centric mindset, is adaptive to constantly changing priorities and works well autonomously and across internal teams.
Responsibilities:
Develop timelines for successful delivery of all assigned projects including coordinating approvals with key stakeholders
Collaborating and working effectively across multiple teams, including product team, Campaign Marketing and RM Group Managers to plan and schedule all marketing email communications
Work with internal and external creative agencies and BU stakeholders to produce, review and finalize email templates and communications.
Work with analytics and database teams to structure and define complex e-mail list requests, including data segmentation, localizations, and unique tracking codes to ensure audience criteria meets the program goals.
Oversee the end-to-end production and implementation of each communication. This will include tasks such as:
Kick off projects through At Task product management system
Manage creative reviews
Manage timelines to meet drop dates
Email tracking setup
Standard list requests
Program schedule/maintain weekly calendars
Contact management
QA emails (links, content, sends)
Familiar with audience counts; validate info
Complex/test list requests
Monitor post send performance
Calendar management
Creative history/summary deck
Process refinement for efficiency
Work closely with the worldwide Field teams to ensure emails are localized with available and relevant, country-specific content
Work closely with clients' Marketing Insights Optimization team to ensure timely and accurate reporting on all programs
Contact Management - Work closely with other Relationship Management colleagues to manage the frequency and relevancy of communications to the paid member audience.
Skills:
3-5 years strong marketing project management experience, for at least one enterprise technology company or agency.
SaaS experience from major companies with highly transactional business models – e.g. credit cards, eBay, or other services is helpful.
Strongly preferred: Experience working in highly matrixed organizations, ability to work with multiple stakeholders
Must have direct marketing/email marketing experience, including a baseline knowledge of on one or more email service/ESP
Experience in overseeing/project managing the creation and delivery of emails to worldwide audiences. Must have experience managing third party fulfillment vendors.
Strong project management skills including: conceptualization, driving alignment, managing deadlines and objectives, delivering analysis and initial recommendations
Ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail is required to execute multiple, simultaneous programs flawlessly
Flexibility to adjust quickly to changes and deliver on tight deadlines
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Internal customer-service oriented, personable, positive attitude
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (including pivot tables)
Bachelors' degree
Pay:
D.O.E., as a w2 employee of Crawford Group (benefits available)
Location:
Initially fully onsite at client offices in San Jose, CA, or San Francisco, CA. San Francisco candidates will need to travel to San Jose office a few days per week during initial training phases. Some flexibility to work virtually/telecommute once relationships are established. No phone calls, please.
Hours/duration:
Full time consulting, ASAP – ongoing.
