Compensation & Benefits Director
Location: Boston, Massachusetts

If you like to build teams and processes while working with highly motivated and empowered people AND you have experience as a compensation and benefits guru in private and public companies – then this could be the right role for you. The Director, Compensation and Benefits will be design, management, development and support of compensation and benefit programs. This includes the development, administration, maintenance and delivery of the Company's compensation and benefit programs and philosophy. This position will collaborate and partner with other functional leaders and be best friends with Payroll and HR analytics.
• Design, evaluate and modify benefit policies to ensure that programs are innovative, competitive and of course, in compliance with legal requirements.
• Analyze and design compensation policies and pay practices to develop competitive compensation plans and communicate in an engaging way.
• Prepares and distributes written and verbal information to inform employees of benefits, compensation plans, and related human resource policies (in a positive and empowering way without sounding like a bunch of HR hooey).
• Guides other functional leaders through compensation decisions (aka the comp guru).
• Administer, direct, and review employee benefit programs, including the integration of benefit programs following mergers and acquisitions.
• Identify and implement benefits to increase the quality of life for employees, by working with brokers and researching benefit issues, and communicating issue resolution to employees.
• Identify and or develop and implement cool tools to assist employees in benefit selection.
• Lead the process for the "need to have stuff", like preparing detailed job descriptions and FLSA classification with job levels, families, and salary ranges in partnership with other functional leaders.
• Manage the budgets for human resources as it relates to compensation and benefits.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 7 to 10 years' progressive compensation and benefit design and management experience, including base salary, incentive plan design, and sales compensation plan design and international compensation practices in global technology and on-line services corporations.
• Benefit experience focused on developing, implementing, and administering benefit plans on national and global strategies, legal legislation and competitive practices.
• Experience with public company reporting, like proxy statements, equity programs, compliance etc is a huge plus
• The ability to collaborate with and influence functional leaders including executives.
• Knowledge of business issues in national and global technology and online service companies and a solid understanding of compensation and benefits in these industries.
• The ability to partner with human resource business partners and management.
• The ability to drive the implementation of programs that will provide scalability and efficiency to handle the Company's growth and implement programs that support the Company's culture and methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, an agile thinker, and fun to work with!
• BA in Business, Human Resources, Finance or equivalent.
