Director of Marketing (FTE)
We are looking for a Director of Marketing for a Full Time Employee role for global enterprise solutions (Hardware, Software, and Services) company in Sunnyvale, CA.
The Director of Marketing will be responsible for the development and execution of the vision, positioning, messaging and go to market strategy of the company Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering. The Director will lead a marketing team to drive market awareness and demands for the offering. This role requires development of communication tools, such as presentations, data sheets, whitepaper, video clips, web site and webinars, and communication delivery through mainly on-line vehicles. This role will also be responsible for the development of specific campaigns and programs to address to target audiences, such as specific verticals, ISV community, Cloud Integrators, Google App communities and more.
Responsibilities:
• Collect and analyze market research data, translate into competitive advantage positioning and messaging. Evaluate for new target markets and segments.
• Develop offering packaging and pricing strategy and advocate to product, field and business management.
• Create marketing collateral, including presentations, announcements, media and public communications, data sheets, brochures, white papers, video clips, web site, etc., and also plan and execute the communication plan mainly through online vehicle, such as web site, online events and any other creative approach to the targeted audiences.
• Drive demand generation programs to generate sales leads and online traffic
• Drive analyst relations efforts. Lead analyst inquiries, briefings and strategy sessions to ensure consistency and accuracy of messages delivered.
• Work with cross-functional team on product launch-related activities.
• Create and deliver executive briefing modules. Support business development, field sales and partners in customer visits, product briefings and researching answers as needed for RFP/RFI processes.
Requirements:
• More than 10 years of related marketing experience, with at least 5 years of management experience in a marketing function.
• Prior experience working with cloud integrators, cloud service brokerages, ISVs and developer communities
• Experience with online marketing and demand generation program
• Ability to manage a team to meet key objectives and know when to escalate to senior management
• Ability to work globally with other functions, such as R&D and Sales
• Must be extremely process oriented and can manage multi-function complex and global-based tasks, projects, teams and work environments
• Understanding of mainly US and European market trends
• 25% travel
• Bachelors, and MBA preferred
