Protiviti is seeking a Communications Manager to develop creative internal communications to foster employee engagement. The position is in our Corporate Communications department located in Menlo Park, CA. This individual will manage a variety of communication programs and projects for Protiviti to support the company's business objectives, including writing and editing employee publications and HR-related communications; an external awards program; communications project management; and participate in the company's social media channels. This position reports to the Director of Public Relations.



Specific Responsibilities:



•Manage Internal and employee communications
◦Plan, write, edit and proofread various communications and e-newsletters.
◦Oversee layout and project manage production and distribution.
◦Strategize and recommend communications to help engage global employee base.
◦Participate in internal social networking via Chatter.
◦Interact with company executives, HR, IT, graphic designers.
◦Legal and parent company communications staff.
•Manage market and industry awards program
◦Research and apply for "Best Places to Work"-type awards, top 25 lists, and other recognition opportunities.
◦Manage deadlines and maintain calendar of opportunities.
◦Act as liaison with local business journals and other organizations sponsoring awards.
◦Interact with office heads, Legal and HR leads as needed.
◦Write related internal communications to Protiviti offices and manage promotional activities when awards are won.
•Partner with Marketing for social media and web content
◦Write and post company content on social media platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook.
◦Monitor posts/comments/coverage and recommend engagement/responses as needed.
◦Collaborate with Marketing staff on opportunities to leverage social media as it continuously evolves.
◦Make updates to corporate information on company web site and internal portal.


Qualifications:



•Bachelor's degree required.
•8+years of experience in corporate/employee communications or public relations.
•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including writing, editing and proofreading. Knowledge of AP Style.
•Program/project management.
•Ability to multitask and very strong attention to detail. Proactive.
•Microsoft Office and web skills (search; web content management).
•Familiarity with external social media platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, SlideShare, etc.) and internal (Chatter).
•SharePoint and HTML skills a plus.
•Ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization.
•Ability to manage outside resources (photographers, writers, etc.); may supervise a contractor.
•Knowledge of business, finance, accounting, management desirable.
•Familiarity with community relations programs a plus.
