Title: Marcom Project Manager (Campaigns and Strategy Launch)
Location: San Jose, CA)
Duration: 3 mos+ (renewable per quarter)
Responsibilities:
As a Launch Manager:
- Responsible for driving launch communications and activities strategy & execution across all launch sub teams (Internal, External, AR/PR, Social, web, Partner and Campaign Integration)
- Collaborates daily in outlining launch objectives, strategy, key messaging, players, executive sponsors, competitive environment, and importance/priority of launch.
- Create and maintain launch wiki space on web
- Set-up and run weekly launch & subgroup checkpoint meetings with agendas, notes, and action item tracking
- Create, manage and maintain key milestone calendar across all sub teams. Guide launch team in setting timelines and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Develop subgroup status report for subgroup leads to track process. Ensure all sub-sections of launch plan are delivered by subteam leads.
- Work with Product & Solutions Launch Lead and web managers to provide feedback and approval on internal and external launch web pages.
- Participate on additional subgroup teams as needed.
As a Marketing Communications Manager
- Collaborates with peer groups to enhance understanding and support of Product & Solutions stakeholder needs/challenges/objectives
- Reviews Facilitate final review of audience-facing content to assure its appropriate and represents the messaging direction received from Product & Solution team
- Develop Marcom Plans Lead development of launch marcom strategy inclusive of campaign integration opportunities, required launch assets, drive-to activities, social media, partner enablement, service offerings, awareness & demand generation, media, content , events, branding requirements, etc.
- Execute Marcom Plans Assure best means of communications are employed to gain audience engagement and response
- Manage Issues - Identify issues and escalate with team lead and or manager including recommended solutions
- Resources (dollars) Identifies budget required to complete launch activities and assures SOW/PO is in place
- Leverage/Best Use/Exploit Brand Standards,
- Communication - Effectively communicates expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
- Process Improvements - Identify areas of inefficiency and propose solutions for improvement, participate in development of best practices.
Accountabilities/Expectations & Outputs
- Budget - Secure project and maintenance budget estimates and funding before the beginning of the project.
- Schedules - Manage the communications schedule to ensure that it is distributed on time within plan
- Tracking Measure results of communications plan and share successes or learnings
- Manage Standards - Complies with and helps to enforce standard web policies, best practices and procedures.
Functional Knowledge
- Multi-tasking Ability to competently manage numerous projects, stakeholders, and prioritize in a high-pressure environment, while maintaining deadlines and executing on deliverables to each clients satisfaction.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Marcom Manager
- Passion for marketing
- Ability to learn, understand and apply new techniques/processes
- Competent at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Conflict management - Mitigates conflict and communication problems; Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
- Budget management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with various project management methodologies and ability to tailor approach for success
- BA/BS preferred and experience in a related field and/or a highly technical environment
