Marketing Associate - Lead Generation/Social Media
Bright Pattern seeks a marketing specialist. In this role, you will help implement online marketing and monitoring programs for BrightPattern, a start company in the Silicon Valley that has developed a cloud based (SaaS) customer service solution. This position is located in San Bruno, California. BrightPattern is looking for a marketing talent who has an extraordinary capacity to manage, plan, direct and execute all aspects of the organization´s marketing function operationally. The desired individual will be assertive, driven, have a strong work ethic and a sense of urgency. They will need to understand market and customer needs—identifying trends and opportunities in order to design, implement and facilitate appropriate marketing plans.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
The successful candidate will work with the leadership team to help plan and meet the overall needs of the organization. Familiarity with a variety of the field concepts, practices, and procedures are required along with a strong focus on sales lead generation and social media. You will have the responsibility to develop, execute and manage content for SEO and social media needs on the corporate website, campaigns, and micro sites. You will nurture and manage online social media communities, including blogs, message boards, email discussion groups, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, etc. and other branded communities to generate awareness, site traffic, and revenue (ex: optimize the BrightPattern website for search engine listings, site rankings, keywords. Monitor and report on competitor standings. Utilize web analytics to monitor website and performance metrics.)
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected as the candidate will need to create and maintain consistent positioning and messaging in the marketplace for BrightPattern´s brand, products and services
• Develop methods for generating awareness through social media, online communities and community websites.
• Seek out and develop new ways to drive traffic through innovative communications approaches as well as monitor and analyze performance measures to improve the website and direct marketing initiatives.
• Analyze and improve the visitor experience and conversion rates on our sites.
• Stay in tune with current social media developments, online behavior and trends.
• Research, track and understand new online influencer/thought leadership sites, and the online community.
• Devise and implement appropriate campaigns for online/social media activities.
• Successfully team with colleagues and external partners when appropriate on online & social media marketing projects.
• Work closely with PR, e-commerce and web development teams.
• Work with other staff members to analyze, manage and optimize campaigns.
• Provide regular reports to internal stakeholders on campaigns.
• Assist with website content, layout, UI, and usability from an Internet marketing perspective.
Experience, Education, and Training:
• College Degree BA/BS in marketing, business or a related field is desired.
• 1 to 2 years experience in online/interactive marketing is desired.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in B2B search is desired.
• Strong expertise in managing Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing is required, including keyword management.
• Experience with social monitoring tools, Google Adwords and Google Analytics is required.
• Experience defining and implementing web marketing programs and campaigns is required.
• Experience in establishing and tracking web metrics is required.
• Strong communication skills to evangelize SEO projects and work with cross functional staffs to ensure implementation are required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Strong teamwork and cross-functional skills required.
• Experience in Joomla CMS and basic HTML programming preferred.
• Experience in public relations and marketing communications is a plus.
• Experience in both B2B and B2C is a plus.
• Experience in the software industry, customer facing applications software, is a plus.
Full Time Position
Salary Range: ~$70K
