Interamark is an established marketing services firm with several Fortune 1000 clients. We are seeking a self-motivated sales professional who has experience selling marketing services to technology companies with external vendor marketing budgets. The successful candidate will receive an incentive-based compensation package including a base salary plus commission
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Effectively and independently deliver Interamark value proposition
• Bring, nurture, and continue to develop a deep network of new business prospects
• Develop a sustained pipeline of accounts by actively prospecting via cold-calls, marketing lead follow-up, personal relationships, Interamark executive introductions, and introductions to independently close contracts at a close frequency and value to meet or exceed productivity and quota expectations
• Utilize Interamark's salesforce.com database to provide timely and accurate forecasting and reporting of current and future sales activity
• Develop, write, and deliver value-based sales proposals and respond to client RFPs as appropriate
• Consistently and regularly use Interamark marketing solutions to demonstrate our capabilities to potential clients
• Appropriately engage internal management and staff in the sales cycle and provide ongoing feedback to other areas of the Interamark organization
• Negotiate contracts with clients, working closely with the sales management and operations
• Work from home office and on client site
• Represent Interamark in a professional and ethical manner to clients, prospects, partners, and Interamark colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of six (6) years experience in a similar role with a successful track record in which the candidate met or exceeded performance metrics—measured in calls/day, appointments/week, qualification of opportunities, etc.
• Minimum of two (2) years of direct sales experience with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding assigned individual quota as measured by revenue generation (or similar related experience)
• Proven ability in managing sales activity via the telephone including inquiry follow-up, pipeline management, and cold calling
• Strong telephone sales and written communication skills
• Previous experience selling marketing services in a related industry
• Consultative solution sales experience
• Must be able to do complete sales presentations and credibly discuss strategic marketing solutions and be productive without the assistance of a marketing manager
• Process and task oriented; very organized and diligent in territory/deal management
• No supervisory responsibilities required for this position, although the potential might be there in the future
COMMUNICATION AND COGNITIVE ABILITIES
• Ability to manage a geographic territory and execute a high volume of sales activity via telephone, email, and web based interaction, as well as in-person sales meetings
• Cooperate with our close-knit and well-established team to meet goals and/or complete tasks
• Must be self-motivated and know when to seek guidance
• Detail-orientation is a must
• Flexibility, ability to change priorities quickly, and capacity to handle multiple tasks
• Effective collaborator with proven process improvement skills
• Exceptional organization and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Keep up-to-date on technology trends, developments, and best practices
• Capacity to develop and leverage competitive knowledge in sales situations, including understanding our differentiators and value proposition
