Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a full time Internal Communications Manager consultant for one of our high-tech clients located in San Jose. The Internal Communications Manager will support the corporate Global Internal Communications team with strategic planning, content development / execution, and program and event management for employee digital communications.
The ideal consultant is a natural problem solver who sees opportunity in the face of challenges, has a flexible and optimistic approach to working with internal teams, is resilient to ongoing change management initiatives and adapts quickly in response to shifting company priorities and market dynamics.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Content Development-Employee Communications Liaison: Manage relationships with cross-functional team members and subject matter experts—serving as a trusted communications advisor and employee communications expert
* Develop, manage and execute integrated, strategic global employee communications plans including managing story development for the employee Intranet. This includes researching and shaping stories, assigning writers, editing, overseeing the story review process, and finalizing stories for posting on the employee website, internal social media platforms and manager website. Content will include major business units/functions, corporate initiatives and company priorities
* Internal Digital Signage Managing Editor: Working with the Executive Editor, act as the Global Content Editor by managing the daily editorial calendar, content creation and employee submissions for global (internal and external) / U.S. / San Jose / Corp Communications digital signage feeds.
* Manage content updates to the Executive Briefing presentation slide presentation deck
* Assist with quarterly metrics reporting and special projects as needed
* Assist with project management for internal events as needed for employees and managers
* Partner with cross-functional communicators and business partners to help increase employee engagement opportunities for global employees aligned to current employee sentiment
* Monitor popular cross-company email aliases to help track employee sentiment and flag "hot" topics
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
* 7-10 years of related experience in internal communications or digital communications planning including at least one large, public technology company
* Strong written communications skills: develops content rich, highly stylized, and persuasive copy, maintains continuity of structure, thought, content and style across a range of digital mediums
* Excellent project management skills, extremely organized and attentive to details
* Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and demands with limited resources
* Ability to leverage relationships with influencers to accomplish cross-functional objectives
* BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, PR, Business, or similar
RATE: $1920/week as a W-2 employee of Crawford Group; NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE
LOCATION: Onsite at the clients' office in San Jose, CA
HOURS/DURATION: Full time, May 28, 2012-ongoing
