International Consulting Group Marketing (www.icgmarcom.com), located in Silicon Valley, is seeking a well-qualified Social Media Strategist consultant for our leading High Tech client.
Onsite at Client HQ – with some offsite flexibility. Silicon Valley/ South S.F. Bay Area.
Consultant Pay: Depending on experience.
Duration: 1 year and likely to extend.
Work Schedule: Part-Time, 20 hours per week.
Description: The Social Media Strategist will be a key contributor to this enterprise company's divisional marketing team. The Strategist will lead and manage the ongoing development, maintenance, and measurement of all social media marketing efforts. To be qualified, candidates must have broad expertise for optimizing; multiple social networking channels, engagement, content management, and monitoring and listening tools. Requires a deep understanding of which communities or channels are most appropriate based on audience and strategic goals. Vital to have a successful track record with highly cross-functional organizations, and across virtual global teams.
Requirements:
• 4 plus years in social media marketing across strategy, management and tactical execution. Experience supporting both B2B and B2C social presence
• 5 or more years complementary Marketing or Communications and online / web program and project management background
• Proven success in recommending process and best practices, leading, managing and executing social media campaigns, championing new content strategy and initiatives and developing relevant content, and managing editorial calendars
• Ability to coordinate daily activities across all web property/virtual environments, including managing the content strategy for a portfolio of social media channels and the division's website
• Experience building and developing content syndication partnerships with leading media outlets; and collaborate with team members, PR coordinators, designers, writers, and developers to redesign and improve existing site structure
• A proven track record as a social media communicator with excellent writing and editing skills. Quality and varied samples to be provided
• Experience participating in online and offline media public relations
• Working knowledge of tools such as Radian6, Sprinklr and WordPress is preferred
• BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related functional area. MBA
a plus
