The Tibco administrator is responsible for maintaining existing integration environments and facilitates ongoing enhancements/projects.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all TIBCO environments
- Manages TIBCO package deployments in various environments
- Fine tunes TIBCO applications for performance needs in various environments
- Evaluate new releases of existing TIBCO products.
- Helps architect to evaluate new TIBCO line of products as necessary.
- Keep TIBCO environment up to date by timely evaluate and upgrade of the available TIBCO products to their latest/stable versions.
- Works with the business analyst to refine functional requirements, including SLAs
- Works with target system technical resources to develop and maintain technical requirements
- Understand all capabilities of the EAI software stack and judiciously apply contextually appropriate features
- Works to gain a deep understanding of client systems
- Works with QA to develop comprehensive test plans.
- Works with support to address urgent bugs
- Researches and incorporates industry best practices.
- Contributes to the integration repository, and ensures that evolving artifacts are kept up to date.
- Works with other EAI developers to spread useful pieces of the EAI stack throughout enterprise (messaging, metadata repository, etc.)
- Participates in Code review, Design review.
- Defines/Enhances SOP's for TIBCO applications to operations/production support group.
Required skills, educations
- BS in engineering
- 5+ years of experience on Tibco technologies.
- Good knowledge of TIBCO EMS Administration tasks, should know about installation, configuration, and deployment of TIBCO EMS and other Tibco line of products. Should have very good understanding of JMS. Knowledge of EAI/XML related technologies.
- Tibco certified preferred
