Position Summary:
My client is looking for a talented Sr. Server Engineer to help them build a scalable server-side platform that supports the social robot and the mobile clients.
Responsibilities:
· Architect and build scalable APIs based on their Microservice infrastructure
· Work closely with DevOps to test and deploy the latest services
· Coordinate requirements with other Engineering teams in an agile environment
Required Skills and Competencies:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
· 3+ years building server-side Node.js applications designing APIs
· 2+ years architecting large-scale solutions in AWS with emphasis on microservices
· Strong understanding of AWS security concepts, such as VPC and IAM roles
· Experience building and deploying Docker containers
· Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and caching solutions like Redis
· Passion for Robotics and/or building simple, efficient solutions
· Team player with respectful, no-BS mentality
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
· Proficiency with automation tools like CloudFormation, Chef or Ansible
· Familiarity with AWS EC2 Container Service and Auto-scaling
· Experience supporting Production and Staging environments
· Use of Jenkins in the continuous build/deploy cycle
· Master’s degree in Computer Science
