Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is looking for an Associate Project Manager, Production Services for one of our technology clients based in Santa Cruz, CA. The Associate Project Manager, Production Services is the go-to person between the Traffic Manager and production services as projects are assigned.

The Associate will be responsible for maintaining assigned Creative Work Requests (CWRs), assigning work to internal/external producers, prioritizing and tracking projects and ensuring that completed jobs are posted to the appropriate locations and updated as required.

The Associate Project Manager, Production Services will also provide suggestions for continuous improvement of best practices to ensure maximum utilization of resources, streamlined processes and quality output.

Responsibilities:

Act as primary point of contact between Marcom and brand production for specific types of projects flowing through the CWR system:

Asset localization

Print production

Publishing final assets

Provide proofreading/quality control services by reviewing all outgoing proofs generated by the production team: Review for typos, adherence to brand and confirms all edits have been made before sending proof to the Traffic Manager

Act as the main contact with printers by getting estimates for printing when requested to do so by Marcom, as well as providing details about file delivery locations and project specifications and reviewing printer's proofs as PDFs or onsite at the printer

Act as a back-up when the Traffic Manager is out on vacation, or when the Traffic Manager is unavailable due to meetings or travel, specifically when there are time sensitive projects that need to be moved quickly through the department

Use CWR process to manage prioritization across assigned CWRs, update project stats in a timely manner and log completed activities

Work with creative production agency and translation memory service on localization process, including leading standing project status meetings

Develop timelines and lead day-to-day management and optimization of all assigned projects including coordinating approvals with key stakeholders

Constantly monitor and proactively report on progress of projects to all stakeholders

Ensure post-project information is complete and uploaded (source, OpenText, need to posted to the collateral library) including monitoring and refreshing as assets change (updates/replacements)

Monitor and ensure materials in the collateral library are current and print volumes are sufficient

Track all projects – current and completed – and keep log of all projects

Looks for ways to create efficiencies in process or gaps and proactively communicate to Traffic Manager

Skills:

Minimum 3 years proven traffic/project management experience supporting a global marketing communications organization. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Strong interpersonal skills, positive, energetic and open minded

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Good grammar/copywriting skills a plus as all projects will require review.

Extraordinary attention to detail and organizational skills

Detailed and organized

Ability to prioritize projects with minimal direction based on actual business needs

Ability to prioritize based on business need vs. most vocal or demanding internal client

Flexibility to adjust quickly to changes and deliver on tight deadlines

Strong work ethic, and relentless commitment to quality and efficiency

Resourceful and proactive

Ability to look at everything being created to ensure consistency of assets and contribute to the evaluation of creative content

Comfortable with preparing reports and reviewing metrics

Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite for editing files in Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat

Bachelors' degree in Marketing, Business or similar

Rate:

D.O.E. as a W-2 employee of Crawford Group

Location:

Primarily onsite at clients' offices in Santa Cruz, CA, with some offsite flexibility. No phone calls, please.

Hours/Duration:

Full time consulting, December 5, 2016 - ongoing.
