Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is looking for a Content Editor and Production Manager for our technology client based in San Francisco, CA. The Content Editor and Production Manager will work on the Product Marketing team responsible for their creative apps solutions content to engage the following audiences: Creative professionals across UX/UI, web and graphic design and marketing professionals.
The Content Editor and Production Manager will work as a team with the Sr. Content Marketing Strategist, who leads strategy and planning and work closely with multiple content producers from a variety of cross-functional teams and externally. This is not a content writing role; you will be responsible for creating a content review process from scratch, creating and managing content production schedules and editing content.
The ideal candidate has a strong process orientation and exceptional project management skills. Must be a diplomatic influencer and relationship builder to overcome some resistance to change and drive adoption of the content production process.
Responsibilities:
Manage the content production process and maintain editorial and production schedules to meet content marketing deadlines
Develop content review and approval processes
Manage deliverables: Production tracking and schedules, content playbook (tone, voice, guidelines, workflow and governance), content briefs and sharing content insights
Collaborate with the Sr. Content Strategist on content topics and planning content projects
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and geos to implement content recommendations and production
Manage writers and agencies and work closely with Social, Product and other teams who generate content
Review and edit content to ensure content delivers on strategy, maintain quality of content, implement editorial and SEO best practices and develop content briefs
Decipher analytics into actionable content insights and socialize findings
Skills:
5-7 years combined editorial, content project management/traffic management experience
3+ years of experience in a corporate environment
Knowledge of AP style guide
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud apps required
Excellent writing and research skills (you may be occasionally asked to write a blog post)
Art direction a plus
Must work effectively across functional teams, be a good problem solver, be flexible, have the ability to build relationships and be a team player
Experience managing third party vendors
Exceptional project management skills: Evidence of meeting deadlines and delivering quality work, maintaining flexibility with changing projects and fluctuating deadlines
Must be highly organized, a great communicator and deliver on deadlines
Established relationships with writers and content creators a plus
Professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills, self-direction and drive
Passionate about creativity, design, problem solving and enabling designers to make an impact
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and SharePoint for collaboration
Bachelors degree in Journalism, English, or related area of study (marketing not preferred)
Rate:
D.O.E. as a W-2 employee of Crawford Group
Location:
Four days per week onsite at clients office in San Francisco, remainder offsite/virtual/WFH/telecommute. No phone calls, please.
Hours/Duration:
Full time consulting, ASAP six months with potential to extend.
