Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is looking for a Social Media Strategist for one of our technology clients. The Social Media Strategist will be responsible for managing the overall social media strategy for our clients' cloud based digital services. This includes overseeing all social media marketing and communications across the business unit, including but not limited to content strategy across social platforms and blogs, paid social, social media marketing campaign development and execution, influencer programs, event support and social demand generation. The Strategist will work collaboratively with a Social Media Specialist and a Community Manager, but not in a people management capacity.
The ideal Social Media Strategist candidate has experience building, managing and growing highly influential social programs at other B2B and/or B2C companies. Candidates must have an entrepreneurial attitude and be strategic, analytical and creative. The Strategist is a proactive self-starter who understands the nuances and dynamics of the social media landscape and is excited to bring their own insights and best practices to the table. Must be able to jump in quickly and hit the ground running to keep our client ahead of the curve in social media marketing and communications.
Responsibilities:
Oversee social content strategy and programs across accounts for cloud based digital services, generate continuous stream of competitive social tactics that engage communities, users, customers, etc.
Work collaboratively with the Social Media Specialist to develop and execute strategic, creative social programs and campaigns that drive awareness for and consideration of clients' cloud based digital services, such as social activations, demand generation programs, product launches, event support, influencer program, customer and partner activities
Drive paid social strategy across social media platforms
Scale social programs globally by coordinating with regional social leads
Demonstrate collaboration and problem solving skills to achieve business objectives and develop trust with stakeholders, meet with cross-functional teams to assist with social support for other activities across programs
Identify third party vendors to partner with to support social programs/activations that map to overall marketing objectives
Scale and refine content and programs based on data, always looking for insights to improve activities
Partner with Social Media Analyst to create ongoing reports and provide insights, including monthly reports, and other reports based on product launches or social campaigns
Manage budget, work with internal finance team for payment of vendors
Skills:
5 years' experience in social media marketing required, experience in high tech marketing or communications strongly preferred
Passion for social media and keen understanding of social media platforms and macro social trends.
Collaborative and team-oriented. Possesses the diplomacy to work well cross functionally, driving consensus and moving from ideation to action
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong project management skills with high attention to detail
Broad business understanding, strong analytical abilities; critical, creative thinker
A self-starter with a proven ability to multitask, prioritize and work with all levels of an organization
Able to lead the efforts of third party vendors
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or Business
Rate:
D.O.E. as a W-2 employee of Crawford Group
Location:
Onsite at clients' office in San Francisco or San Jose, with ability to go to other office as needed upon request. No phone calls, please.

Full time consulting, January 8, 2017 – August 28, 2017.
