Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a Content/Speaker Manager to support our technology clients' user conference. The Content/Speaker Manager will set the program strategy and timeline in addition to managing the overall content and speaker components. The Content/Speaker manager will manage multiple stakeholders and technical teams to successfully manage a content rich agenda that meets the conference program objectives and attendee requirements.

The ideal candidate has experience in implementing customer content management programs for technology events on a global basis. Most importantly, the candidate must be able to work with strong personalities and have the ability to lead discussions in a large group setting of cross functional team members.

Responsibilities:

Act as content and speaker manager on overall track and session development. Manage space grid and provide track/session management. Create content timeline that maps to key milestones including registration launch date, scheduler launch date, and agenda builder launch date, etc. Drive delivery of final track titles, descriptions, persona tagging and product alignments to tracks as well as the following:

Interface with Operations Manager and registration vendor to outline requirements for content management portal and speaker resource center, leveraging existing infrastructures to streamline efficiencies

Provide track managers with direct access to content management portal

Incorporate copy edit process into the system, includes testing to ensure system is functioning accurately

Work with Operations Manager, registration vendor and Breakout Session Manager to identify improvements required for session catalog and scheduler

Oversee all system enhancements, test and confirm all enhancements are completed and functioning

Create content agenda outline and space grid based on the content and program strategy that is defined. Includes identifying timeslots for sessions based on overall program objectives.

Assign sessions to appropriate time slots with the collaboration of the content managers to minimize overlapping content and speakers during specified times, includes online scheduling to publish to the online and mobile scheduler

Work closely with design and brand teams to update website architecture for content strategy and streamline sessions at a glance page to coincide with the website launch schedule

Work with event registration manager to review speaker registration process and workflow. Provide recommendations in question set schematics to best support the speakers' user experience and event goals for data gathering.

Interface with Marcom Manager to create session survey questions to create online speaker surveys for distribution as part of our post-event thank you email communication

Collaborate with registration vendor to generate online session surveys and testing functionality

Create and test the session surveys through approved system. Test surveys through the mobile app.

Collaborate with vendor for reporting and analysis of all session and lab survey data

Collaborate with session scanning vendor to insure accurate scanning of all session rooms. Includes insuring all data is successfully integrated with the web portal vendor scheduling database for post-show reporting purposes.

Provide input for post-show session analysis to be incorporated into the overall final analysis deck which the content manager will drive

Skills:

5-8 years' global technology event management experience, must include demonstrated expertise in content management and development

Understanding and use of online speaker resource tools, preferably Lanyon

A baseline understanding of the enterprise cloud services technology space

Ability to interact directly with customers, partners and other speakers

Strong verbal, organizational and time management skills

Professional maturity with a positive can-do vibe

Nimble and flexible, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently and problem solve on the fly

BA/BS required

Rate: 1099 or W2 employee of Crawford Group, D.O.E. If w2, benefits available.

Location: 75% onsite at clients' office in San Mateo, CA, remainder offsite/WFH/remote/telecommute. Local S.F. Bay Area candidates only. No phone calls please.

Hours/Duration: ASAP. If 1099, project is full time consulting hours until March 31st, scaling to part time 25 hours per week from April - June 2016. If w2, entire project duration is full time hours.
