Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a team of Senior Marketing Communications Event Manager consultants for one of our high-tech clients located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
These roles will lead the marketing communication strategy and drive marcom deliverables for high-priority corporate trade shows and events. The positions can be 100% remote if the consultant has a wired home office. 30% travel may be required. Please note: This is not a Tradeshow/Event Manager position; it is Marketing Communications Managers who develop and execute marcom plans FOR events and tradeshows.
The selected team of consultants will be individually assigned to a focus area/vertical market to support. These areas may include: Service Provider, Data Center, Internet of Things (IOT), Education, Finance, Healthcare or Retail. Experience in at least one of these areas is highly desirable.
Specific Responsibilities:
Partner with cross-functional team consisting of: Event Strategy, Engagement Managers and Event Program Managers for strategy and execution of all event marcom deliverables for high-priority corporate trade shows and events.
Participate in the Event Experience Design (ED) and execute against the blueprint defined by the event strategy lead.
Drive development of the strategic integrated event marketing communications plan, including: objectives and strategy, attendee profile, audience acquisition strategy, and internal and external communications plan.
Create and manage integrated marcom campaigns (Communications, PR, Media, Social Media)
Facilitate strategic conversations with Sales and Field marketing to support t the development of sales engagement campaigns based on customer behavioral data and analytics
Gather content, create original content and manage review cycles for internal and external communications
Manage and drive program deliverables which may include: internal and external web pages, social media strategy, pre-event and post-event communications, direct mail, event collateral, booth digital displays, and speaker presentation formatting
Bring to the table a deep understanding of Marketing Automation and how to segment and target audiences by profile
Manage creative vendor(s)
Develop and drive event marcom program timeline and manage marcom event budget
On-site management of marketing communications programs as needed
Post-event analysis/post event report
Skills:
7+ years of marketing communications experience working for at least one enterprise B2B technology company – experience in industries such as Education, Finance, Retail and Health Care desirable and these candidates will be given priority
Ability to develop strategy, as well as flawlessly execute plan
Strong understanding of how marketing communications strategy is applied for Trade Shows and large-scale Events required
Experience with development and execution of social media and digital strategies
Understanding of the creative process
Understanding of large, complex organizations and comfortable in a large corporate environment
Have a proven ability to drive projects forward in a rapidly changing environment with a strong emphasis on virtual team working and conference call meetings; Ability to work independently and be self-directed
Proven experience in engaging and developing collaborative relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel 30% required. Must have valid US passport.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or similar
RATE: D.O.E; as W-2 employee of Crawford Group; benefits available
