Position Responsibilities – Summary:
The Professional Services Manager, Higher Education Sector, will enable the growth of the company and its clients by developing, implementing, and continuously improving service delivery capabilities in a scalable manner. You will be responsible for the management and coordination of ERP Financials/Student Management software implementation functional and technical consultants who work closely with customers providing strategic oversight throughout the software implementation cycle. You will work closely with Project Managers responsible for the implementation and insure necessary resources are allocated for successful projects. Further you will act as a Key Customer Contact for selected accounts, insuring customer success.

The perfect candidate has managed a fast growing P&L Service area for an ERP Financials Software Vendor or managed a Practice for a Consulting firm specialized in ERP Financial Software implementations, in the Higher Education Sector.
Person will manage a group of 10 resources initially, growing to 25 by the end of 2017. Group consists of Data Conversion Consultants & both Functional & Technical Implementation Consultants.
Software is SaaS/Cloud & On-Premise based, and project length ranges from 6-12+ months depending if full suite is implemented.
Reports to the VP of NA Professional Services
Responsibilities:
· Manage, recruit, plan new hire training, plan career growth, & personal objectives of the team.
· Manage, plan, forecast & maximize the team’s utilization, particularly billable realization, to meet the firm’s & customer goals.
· Develop, implement, coordinate and manage services in the Higher Education vertical.
· Co-develop, implement and coordinate the Professional Services strategy.
· Establish, manage, and consistently meet or exceed internal and external service levels.
· Assist in developing and managing the processes, tools, and partnerships needed to deliver services effectively and efficiently.
· Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the firm’s service delivery capabilities.
· Act as a Project Sponsor for Key Customer Accounts as needed.
· Perform project reviews and monitor project success.
· Support Account Executive with selling our services proposition
Required Skills and Competencies: (Must Haves)
· Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience managing a fast growing P&L Service area for an ERP Financials Software Vendor or managed a Practice for a Consulting firm specialized in ERP Financial Software implementations, ideally in the Higher Education Sector.
· Strong Change Management/Consultative Skills
· Experience managing a consistent implementation methodology in a Cloud, SaaS, or Hosted environment
· Experience managing both functional & technical consultants implementing ERP Financials or Student Management software
· Experience managing a team of billable resources in the area of 12-25 people
· Experience managing remote resources who travel up to 75-80%
· Experience planning, creating, & managing the delivery of customer training.
· Experience & the ability to handle multiple highly-complex projects
· Ability to work without supervision with complete latitude for independent judgment
· Superior communication, presentation, and customer relationship skills & the ability to engage and successfully interact with the client and project team at all levels.
· Exceptional team leadership and people management experience.
· Superior negotiation, conflict management, risk mitigation, issue resolution, organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to Travel in the 60-80% for the 1st 6 months & than around 50% thereafter – NA + Some International
Pluses:
· Experience in the Higher Ed/Student Management software sector
· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
· Fluent in the concepts of Student Management software, General ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Fixed Assets and Financial Reporting and Analysis preferred - Knowledge of Project, Costing and Billing, & HR & Payroll
· Previous experience as a Functional or Technical ERP Financials/Student Management Software Implementation Consultant.
