Position Overview:
Channel Impact is seeking a Partner Marketing Manager to provide on-going services for our client's Partner Marketing team. The ideal candidate will have partner event marketing and partner marketing communication experience with excellent program and project management skills.
This is a W2 opportunity with Channel Impact.
What you will be doing:
-Developing partner facing communications, including maintaining the Partner Portal with fresh content, publishing a partner facing newsletter and creating other forms of partner facing content such as overviews, FAQs, papers, etc.
-Working closely with the business units to make sure the channel has a seat the table, as product marketing resources are created--your role will be to ensure that Partner AMs are enabled with presales materials to make it easy for them to offer the client's solution
-Managing and implementing partner marketing plans for large national partners such as CDW, PCConnect, SHI, Insight, etc.
-Program manage a large multi-city partner road show: Managing and collaborating with event logistics suppliers to ensure that venues are booked, registration is seamless, and ROI can be measured
-Developing, managing and maintaining the project execution plan for each partner program you are responsible for. Provide ad-hoc reporting to client leadership so the client is aware of the project's status at any point in time
-Managing the Marketing Development Fund (MDF) program
-Building and implementing channel marketing demand generation and event plan, process, programs, and reporting
-Tracking success metrics and budget for marketing programs and events
-Planning and implementing partner user groups and multi-city tours to drive retention and education throughout the partner community
-Monitoring the execution of all channel-marketing programs by working closely with the CAMs and Field Marketing
-Working with the training team on managing webinar program to help drive partner growth and performance
-Monitoring, track ongoing channel partner activities and key metrics defining success of channel strategies
-Working with other Marketing functions to ensure partner enablement materials including co-branded collateral are available and communicated to the partner community
-Interacting with other Marketing functions (Product Marketing, Direct Marketing and Alliance Marketing, Marcom), Finance, Sales and Sales Support, and Operations to communicate/promote partner programs.
-Traveling to the events as needed
This is the job for you if:
-You have 5+ years of partner event marketing, partner communication and partner program and project management experience
-You can easily adjust course as priorities shift
-You have a level head and are not easily thrown off track or frazzled
-You are a master juggler and can keep many items on track at the same time
-You are a master of efficiency - the ideal person is always looks for ways to consolidate the process, operation and approach to make it better
-You are super polished and professional -- you will be the primary interface to our clients and partners, and you must exude professionalism at all times
-You are very responsive --partners are demanding and the ideal person naturally enjoys wearing a customer service hat
-You like to travel and enjoy attending partner events
Qualifications/Requirements:
-Strong understanding of Channel ecosystem – VAD, VAR, ISV, SI
-Strong operational and organizational skills required: ability to successfully build and implement a channel program working across all the appropriate parties such as Sales, Finance, Operations, Web/Portal development
-Experience in partner marketing program and demand generation activities including events, webinars, and digital marketing
-Success in the execution of effective channel marketing campaigns and tracking budget and business results with a strong attention to detail
-Strong people skills: ability to lead with confidence and professionalism when interfacing with multiple levels of management, partners and customers
-Self-starter and ability to work at the strategic and tactical level
-Strong analytical / ROI skill-set: experience measuring channel program performance and promotional investments.
-Experience in managing multiple tasks of varying difficulty and complexity
-Experience with enterprise customer marketing is highly preferred.
-Should be able to effectively communicate to all constituencies and levels in written and verbal formats; must be a team player
-Some travel required
