Intermedia is looking to hire a Creative Director, an optimistic self-starter to lead design efforts company-wide from either Mountain View or New York. We're looking for an entrepreneurial, driven leader who wants to be a primary contributor to our award-winning customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Manages internal creative team of designers and developers as well as outside design agencies, coordinating their efforts and ensuring a high quality bar for all deliverables
• Hands on ability to lead by example, execute creative as appropriate, match team skills with business partner requirements, and communicate and develop relationships at all levels within the company
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate strategic goals into compelling brand experiences that adhere to Intermedia brand standards, while optimizing quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction
• Lead strategic brainstorming sessions, develop creative briefs, rationalize creative concepts, and oversee campaign execution components
• Anticipate project requirements, think creatively against demanding deadlines with acute attention to detail, and respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
• Align with management and teams to define best practices for each creative discipline, ensure enterprise creative standards, and timely recognition and resolution of issues impacting the business
• Align with management to plan and implement team professional development that includes enhancing individual skills and prioritizing daily workload
• Partner with product marketing management and development, championing the creation of user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, professional expertise, and metrics findings
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, communications design, or equivalent professional experience
• At least 7 years of experience as a visual designer, design lead, or similar role
• At least 3 years of experience leading teams of designers
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with key stakeholders and developers for implementation of designs
• Ability to work gracefully and have a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
• Mastery skill level with Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with remote teams
• Understanding of development technologies HTML, CSS, Java, PHP, etc.
• Experience designing for responsive web
• Experience designing for B2B
Required for Consideration:
• Relevant work samples or portfolio. Samples or portfolio must illustrate solving for design challenges and work with integrated marketing campaigns.
