Job description
Firewood Marketing is hiring an Email Specialist to focus on developing effective and impactful email campaigns. This position will work closely with key global stakeholders to develop targeted engagement strategies that include planning, producing, deploying and measuring multi-faceted email campaigns. Great candidates for the Email Specialist position will be able to project manage with their eyes closed, are quantitative, detail-oriented, and most importantly - are excited about creating innovative, measurable campaigns to advance the goals of our client, a global travel company based in San Francisco.
Responsibilities
* Manage email related workflows and email service provider relationships seamlessly.
* Manage the day-to-day implementation and execution of email campaigns on a global scale, partnering with both vendors, platforms, and stakeholders.
* Work with a creative team to design, test, and track email campaigns, and provide feedback and guidance to writers.
* Build testing frameworks, optimize and track campaign work back to core business goals and metrics.
* Understand how to segment and organize email lists, preferably has ExactTarget or other email service platform experience.
* Execute email campaigns from start to finish while holding to strict deployment dates
* Serve as point to ensure all email content is accurate, localized, and optimized.
* Use data analysis to compile performance reports and dashboards.
* Structure and implement experiments to drive optimization (e.g., test creative, copy, audience segments, etc.) and ensure all campaigns are tied back to core business metrics.
* Act as a core liaison between the business stakeholders and the internal online marketing team, holding regular meetings to align on our email calendars, report on key email metrics, and collaborate on email campaigns.
Qualifications:
* 2-5 years of relevant work experience. Experience running advocacy-oriented email campaigns for political campaigns, organizations, and/or big brands preferred.
* Excellent project manager, ability to work with many stakeholders and balance priorities and resources at all times.
* Experience with email platforms with a preference toward expertise with ExactTarget.
* Proven experience in A/B and multivariate test design, execution and analysis.
* Proven experience in execution of complex, multi-step emails.
* Ability to work independently - must be a self-starter with a sense of humor and the ability to thrive in a fast moving, creative and sometimes stressful environment.
* Ability to work collaboratively and be a team player in a multi-task work environment, and produce the highest caliber work product under aggressive deadlines.
* An Innovative and creative approach to work, able to create and optimize internal processes that respond to ever-shifting objectives and challenges.
